We dined here on a Saturday night with family and friends, staff were helpful and polite. We all had the tasting menu with matching wines, each dish outdoing the last although the standout for me was the slow cooked egg. Wines were also very nice and nobody was hungry after 6 courses of interesting and flavourful food. Would highly recommend... More

My wife and I enjoyed a really nice evening at Bodegon Alejandro. The food was really good as was the service. We enjoyed a starter of slow cooked eggs with emmental sauce. The steak that I had as the main was cooked perfectly, and the French toast dessert was very good. The wine was also very good. 3 days in... More

It's a slightly odd place - down the steps in a kind of bunker, but it's pretty pleasant and you escape from the hordes upstairs. Sometimes the food can seem a little TOO Basque - I mean the meat and fish overload - but the cooking is good and the service is also pretty friendly and informative. They've got better... More

Although this place had been recommend and was on my list, on the night in question I stumbled on it by accident. I was hungry but I also needed wifi to watch the Ireland rugby match (Friday 10th March 2017) on my phone. I got there just before 8 pm. Three hours later I left happy and fed. The staff... More

Delicious food, well prepared and flavorful. Service was friendly and prompt. Highly recommend if you're looking for an upscale but not exorbitantly priced "sit down" meal in San Sebastian.

San Sebastian has around 12 Michelin starred restaurants. This restaurant has a mention by Michelin. It needs a star, but maybe if it did it might be harder to get in! This was a very good value for the dinner. My wife and I went here based on a Trip Advisor recommendation, and also as it was raining we were... More

6 of us had the tasting menu for dinner at Bodegon Alejandro in Old Town. The food was good, though service was sluggish. The price was right.

High expectations were exceeded when we enjoyed Sunday lunch at Bodegon Alejandro. A recommendation from our hotel, this Michelin rated small restaurant in the old town left our mouths watering for more of their typical Basque cuisine. We chose the tasting menu with matching wines, which included several local varieties as well as others from adjoining wine making regions. To... More

The food I ate here was, in my opinion, the best of my entire trip to the San Sebastián region - even compared to an actually Michelin-starred restaurant I ate at earlier. The staff were charming, especially our server who was very friendly and chatty. I had blood sausage to start, followed by the deer with risotto and then the... More

What a great experience. From the moment we entered this beautiful and cozy restaurant to the final cup of coffee, the bonus little cookies, meringues and Cava, we had an amazing time. The service was excellent, the food a real experience. I definitely recommend the fried artichoke appetizer and the French Toast dessert, but everything we ordered was well cooked,... More
