The Danenak Taberna is what I'd describe as a bog standard little cafe - and there absolutely nothing wrong with that. There is a relatively small but tasty range of Pintxos and good beer at reasonable prices. Service was really friendly and it is a relaxing place to have a beer and get away from the more crowded bars. And... More

We were the only tourists in there and it wasn't flashy in any way but we'll worth a visit for the baccalo alone. Delicious cod in tomato and pepper sauce.

On a Monday night when options are a bit limited, we came here not expecting much & were surprised with how delicious & cheap it was! We had beautifully cooked bacalao in a tomato sauce, champi's & the cheapest vino (€0.45!!) around. Full of locals with an authentic vibe, this is the kind of place you wish was just up... More

Went to this little restaurant a couple of times. The positives are great food at very reasonable prices and there is a version of the menu in English. The negative is the staff speak no English whatsoever and what you get can be a lottery eg we ordered a pitcher of sangria and got a bottle of white wine the... More

Very crowded and popular with locals. Friendly staff, modest prices, generous portions. Try the chicken although there's lots to choose from, doesn't look like much as you pass by, but very charming and comfortable.

There are so many good pintxos joints in San Sebastián it's hard to choose any to write a review about where everything hasn't already been covered. Tripadvisor dos a good job of identifying the best of them. We tried many if them, including the big hitters like Borda Berri, Bar Nestor, Bar La Cepa, etc. They were all excellent: wonderful... It is not one of the most known, but it has good pintxos at economic prices. Many locals buy here sandwiches to take away: its speciality is potatoes' omelette full of txaka or mushrooms, in pintxo version too. The service tends to be a bit serious, sometimes feeling rude, but it's basque character.
