We have visited many Tapas restaurants in Palma but this one just offered something a little different.
My husband and I ate there last night.
We ordered Ousters to start followed by the croquettes all of which were delicious.
The cocktails are all edgy and a little different but tasted great. With the open kitchen it was a very buzzy atmosphere and you could watch all the cocktails being made too.
Other dishes we ordered were the suckling pig, steak and the cannelloni, all fab! Service was great too and all safety measures in place such as face masks worn and hand sanitizer ect. Would definitely recommend this place.

Vandal take Spanish ingredients and twist them with other cuisines to deliver delicious , entertaining food . With a great menu choice you can share an ample dinner and still get value for money . The cone of ceviche and coconut foam was fantastic , as was suckling pig with a curry , hake and their take on patatas bravas . Worth starting with a cocktail . Very good service without feeling rushed

Vandal is doing things differently. It's tapas, but not as you know it. With playful combinations drawing on cuisines from all around the world, every dish really is a flavour sensation.
Standout dishes were the red tuna belly with iberian ham, the patacon with marinated pork and the clay baked sea bass with majorcan vegetables. Every dish is impeccably presented, it definitely feels reminiscent to what you would see in a michelin star restaurant.
The cocktail list is extensive and impressive. I had two cocktails, both were amazing. First one was a Circo Peruano which was similar to a pisco sour but made with hibiscus syrup (really tasty and not too sweet), and an espresso martini (equally delicious!)
Service is friendly and the staff are knowledgable. All in all a great night - it's definitely not a cheap meal, so be prepared to part with some euros, but would definitely recommend this place for anyone visiting Palma and wanting to treat themselves or looking for an 'experience'.

We'd been looking forward to our visit; summary would be it was fine but not outstanding and, for the money, we'd expected more. Portions are tiny; the burrata and courgette flower which my OH and I shared, was literally a couple of mouthfuls; and my hake dish at €24 should also have been more subtantial.
Husband declared his octopus to be lovely but none of us were impressed by the parfait, which was rubbery and over-sweet. Service was a bit officious; the second thing our waitress asked after offering us water was "did you move the table", which of course, we had not.
There are so many incredible restaurants in Palma, we'd not rush back to this one

Vandal used to be one of my favourite restaurants (see previous recommendation). I recommended it to many people and always brought friends who were visiting.
However, it certainly seems to go downhill. Last time the service was not great but not worth writing about.
However, this time too many things were adding up that made me decide to write again. We had a reservation for 21:00 and had to wait for 5 minutes which was perfectly fine. However, the manager greeted us in a really unfriendly way - one word answers, no welcome at all and it was an extremely unpleasant start to the evening.
Taking our orders didn't take that long, however, we received our water and cocktails at 21:50 (!!!) and the first dish took another 15 minutes after that. The ceviche and the burrata were as good as always, but some of the dishes were lacking the usual quality and kick (beef cannelloni seemed overcooked)
In the past I praised Vandal for their cocktails. Not so this time. We both had a basil clover which usually has a bit of egg white foam on top. This time, there was 50% egg foam and it was unpleasant and given the tiny amount of alcohol in it, not worth the price. But we did not even care enough to complain anymore...

This is a tough one. 3/4 of the food we ordered was fantastic, really delicious. But the service and lack of air conditioning in the restaurant made it almost unbearable. We ate at Vandal tonight (during a heatwave) and the lack of air conditioning made our first 20 mins in the restaurant painful. The fans eventually made things more comfortable. A cocktail would’ve helped but it took 38 mins from when we ordered our drinks until we actually received them. We asked our waitress about the status of our drinks after 20 mins, to which she replied “the bartenders busy”. This restaurant has about 10 tables total…We actually had to order a bottle of wine to hold us over until we could finally get our cocktails. They also wouldn’t bring out any of our food until our drinks were served, so we were basically hot, hungry and thirsty. Not a great way to kick off my birthday in Mallorca.
Onto the good. The chicken stroganoff was outstanding, as were the fried oysters, cauliflower ravioli and scallops. The bun and sushi rice dishes were also good, not great. Unfortunately, the delicious food was overshadowed by the less than stellar experience at Vandal.

The positive of our visit was most definitely the food and of course that is of utmost importance. It was just delicious on every level. The downside of the visit was the service, it was very poor. Hopefully this is not always the case but for us it was quite impactful. We waited 45minutes for even our cocktails and food even later, which is unreasonable. No offer of bread and olives to tide us over, only bottled water to fend off our hunger! They had advised us they would want the table back two hours from the booking- but due to their own poor service we were still finishing off dinner drinks - we were asked to move to the bar, which was literally just a bar, no comfortable seating area. The waiter rushed us away, started talking on his mobile phone whilst trying to take payment! My friend asked him a question and this appeared to stress him due to not paying due attention to his costumer! Poor! He was actually quite rude and not what should be expected from service and customer care. We loved the food but would not recommend to friends due to the service.

A unique and overall satisfying experience. Food is creative but small portions. Service was good and helpful, however front of house male was miserable and created a bad air at times with customers and staff.

This was a great find. The atmosphere/vibe was fantastic, service was great, and both drinks and food were creative, presented in a very caring and amazing way - a lot of pride in what they presented - and it was delicious. And given all we ate and drank, it was very reasonably priced - would definitely recommend going here

We had a long time getting a reservation..they are always full. the manager was kind enough to call when a table became available. The food, each tapas a piece of art, the desserts particularly the candy cotton...more than amazing. Every time I go to visit , it will always be top on my list. Adrienne Leeds

An experience from start to finish. This is a great team who serve a creative gastronomic menu full of surprises. Service was attentive yet relaxed and the food was superbly presented on unique plates and platters. This was great value high end food which reminded me of Adam Handling’s The Frog when he first opened in Shoreditch, London. He now has Michelin stars and Vandal can’t be too far behind.

We visited Vandal towards the end of our holiday… thankfully! As any subsequent restaurant just couldn’t match this visit!
The pork belly and curry ice cream was quite possibly one of the best things I have ever eaten. Along with the entrecôte and bone marrow chimmichuri. We couldn’t have been happier with our choices.
The dessert ‘childhood feelings’ really topped off an exciting evening. The candy floss, ice cream (we chose strawberry), popping candy and popcorn definitely lives up to its name with nostalgia.
The service could not be faulted and we indulged on suggestions made for accompanying drinks with our food.
Could not recommend highly enough!

We went for a special dinner and were blown away with the quality of the dishes that we had.
The veggie cannelloni was delicious, as were the patatas bravas (there aren’t a whole bunch of veggie options but the ones they have are great).
Cocktails were okay - but the main critique was the length of time it took to receive any food.
45 minutes for an amuse-bouche and an hour until starters.
If you can while away an evening drinking a lot of wine and don’t have to be up for work early the next day then maybe you wouldn’t mind so much.
I would definitely return as the staff were very friendly and pleasant and the food really was delicious.

We turned up at 9pm with no reservation and were quickly found a table. The food was epic, the service was perfect and I felt we were getting extremely good value for money for the quality of the food. We would go back in a heartbeat and highly recommend Vandal to anyone visiting Palma!

A must! An absolutely MUST! Before planning your trip to Palma, check availability on their homepage. It is a place to be seen of course, but it is also a place where the food is exceptional good, the staff not snobbish at all and the audience is really nice and keen. We really enjoyed having dinner at this place. The waiters are absolutely friendly and helpful. They take their time to explain all details on your dishes and how to order. The dishes are exceptional and really Michelin Star like, not sure if this place is not deserving one. The dessert was outstanding. The style and ambiance of this restaurant makes it look like being in New York and not in Palma. First I was skeptical, but now I have to admit: it IS the place to go! Strongly recommended.
