We came back here as we have always had good tapas here before, however, this time we came in the evening and whilst service was very quick, in fact a bit rushed, we felt crammed in and the quality of the tapas was very average.

Called in for dinner and had a fantastic meal of local cuisine, the of tail was amazing as were the patatas bravas mixed with chorizo, and the padron peppers, altogether stunning.

A bad restaurant with unfriendly people, first we had a table in a quiet area then without any reason they changed our place, this restaurant is nothing special and dirty but very expensive

Visited here to try authentic tapas. Attractive little room but low ceiling didn't help with the noise level. Partying group of Englishwoman often over-loud on one side and similar loud group of Germans on other made it virtually impossible to hear each other speak. Food was just ok though the meatballs were nice and decent value, however the wine seemed... More

We chose Fritto Mallorquin Marisco, Pulpo Galecian, Patatas Bravas, Gambas (in hot sizzling garlic oil) They were large dishes, came with bread too. This is plenty for two of you, they are not typical tapas sizes. Really delicious food, a place we shall go back too later this week. The house wine was very nice and is available by a... More

Eight of us found this wonderful tapas restaurant by chance in a tiny street full of similar hostelries. The atmosphere was great, the range of dishes was fabulous, and all of the staff were so helpful and friendly. We had the best lunch of our week here and recommend it as a dining experience.

Outstanding fresh tapas, and family run. Always busy in the evening. Sit at the bar and observe, or choose a table under vaulted ceilings of the old cellars. Good quality wines over a broad spectrum.

Don't expect too much from this place. They have some signature dishes - but all of them are very nice. The prices are not high, the service is very good, but you are to be ready not to be understood - only one of the waiters speaks English. So you will have to use your finger as a pointer very... One of Mallorca's best kept secrets when it comes to tapas bars. It's almost secretly located below ground, right off of a pathway of restaurants. The tapas are fresh, authentic served to order. And the portions are generous at a very decent price. The atmosphere is warm and the service top! We were really impressed!

Description
Sa Volta and La Cueva were two adjoining Tapas bars owned and run by the Nieto brothers. (I think their parents established them.) Sa Volta was TINY but they have now connected the two bars and they are packed out every night. The food is incredible. The service is excellent.
