We had visited La Cueva quite a few times over a period of 25 years and always liked the place. This time was a huge disappointment. The place has been turned into a money making machine. Prices at the upper limit of what tapas should...More

Very busy place that is downstairs, hence the "cave" name. Very cosy, buzzy with great atmosphere. Staff are friendly and the food delicious. There are a few seats at the bar but mostly it is table seating. Think it was a mixture of locals and...More

We had a delicious diner with good wine, friendly and quick service in a nice, traditional atmosphere. We were a group of seven and had several items from the menus all were very good albeit a bit expensive compared to other places. The restaurant seems...More

We had a fantastic meal here for a family of 4. We went for the tapas (fried squid/fish/calamari, prawns in garlic, mussels, tortilla, lamb chops, chorizo) and it was all lovely. The waiter was very friendly and the wine was good too. It is obviously...More

The tapas we tried were just ok. We did artichokes soaked in garlic and wine which were wonderful. The bread was homemade and excellent. The prawns were ok, just mushy. The machengo cheese was ok. The croquettes were the best of anything. Of course the...More

Sa Volta and La Cueva were two adjoining Tapas bars owned and run by the Nieto brothers. (I think their parents established them.) Sa Volta was TINY but they have now connected the two bars and they are packed out every night. The food is incredible. The service is excellent.
