Great pizza, service randome

Pizza blew my mind, best ever this year. Garlic bread for starters came after main course, no olives on pizza, but staff really pretty and bent over double to help. Could forgive them anything because of the nice pizza.

Disappointing

Four of us went there for dinner. We only had a main course (no Starters). Every course came out separately on cold plates with at least a 5 minute wait for others to get their food. Mine came out last, when nearly everyone had already eaten. Serving pizza/pasta on cold plates/dishes is pointless. Food becomes cold v. quickly. No apologies, poor service. Would not return.

Watch your pizza being cooked

The layout of Il Tano means you can watch your food being prepared which is positive. Helpful staff but not much of an atmosphere. We had the Ceasar Salad which was very nice, veggie pizza which was ok and Spaghetti Bolognaise (on the dull side).

The pizza was like sick on a plate

We saw the pizza restaurant and immediately thourght wow nice atmosphere beautiful views and the pictures of the pizzas looked delicious. The service was good drinks came out minutes after we ordered them. We specifically asked for the source on the side of the salad so I we could try it before eating it it came dressed all over the salad that was the first disappointment. Then the pizzas came it was like they had dropped a can of soup on to a thin dough which made everything just soggy. We thourght we’d leave it a minute to let it harden however It did not harden and remained like soup. The food was overly salted but flavours were good. Would not go back and don’t recommend to pizza lovers it will quite frankly put you off for life.

Visited this june with my family. First of all. Do not bother reading this review. Do read about other restaurants instead. So this is a short recap of our visit: With a tired and hungry baby, we dicided to follow our hotel’s recommandation and visit Il Tona on a hot June evening. Having walked to the teeming Santa Catalina-distrikt, we sat down at the restaurant. We noted that it was worn, and with dated interiors (Remember what «Italian» restaurants in Northern Europe looked like in the 90’s? That’s it. Just worn. ). The menu, we thought was enormous, with endless lists of pizza-toppings and the like. At this point we startet to seriously worry, however, service was quick and kind, and food was soon on the way. To our great dissapontment, but not surprise, the food matched the dated interiors. - We could have made a better meal at home. The straff did their best to please us, but unfortunately the problem mainly lies in the kitchen. If this restaurant wants to survive another season, it needs a serious refurbishment and the menu needs cleaning up.

I am holiday an use a lot of time to find good places to eat. We plan to drive to palma an eat here. We live in calla Millor, 45 min in car. When we arrive The personal told us we only could order The pizza. Fine for us, because we came for The pizza, after Sitting there 10 min to find out wich pizza, i ask the personal about the 3 breadtybe that you Can choose between, because i really want one type, and of cause They dident have that bread that day. So we couldt go again. Thank you so much

They don’t have what they say on the menu. Hi. We were so looking forward to going to Il Tano pizzeria. I can’t eat white flour and so to finally find somewhere that offered integral pizza - we were thrilled! When we ordered the waitress just said no we don’t do that. Then why is it on your menu??!! I ended up having a very disappointing salad. My husband and daughter had pizza. Each of our meals came at very different times so that we’d nearly finished when my husbands arrived. Really disappointing place

They treated us disrespectfully

A group of friends went to eat, we ordered a wine and when we brought the bottle we told the waiter that we had ordered another of the same brand, the waiter went to make sure and told us that the wine he served us was the one we had ordered. The bill arrives and to our surprise they charge us a higher amount, they do not deduct the amount that we had to pay on account to be able to make the reservation and what's more, the person in charge did not know how to manage the situation, losing respect and not even an apology. It's a pity that a meal that went pleasantly would end like this due to lack of professionalism, in short they have lost customers

We came here twice for food on our holiday as a family of 3. The first time we visited was great. My daughter is 6, so we didn’t want to spend a fortune on a pizza she wouldn’t eat, so they did her a mickey mouse pizza, which was just the right size. I had the carbonara pizza which was lovely and my partner had a salami one which again, was lovely. Service was quick. Second time we went a little later, and i had carbonara pasta dish, partner had a calzone and daughter had mickey pizza again. The service wasn’t as great, and my carbonara was full of fatty bacon… i think the restaurant was very busy and lacked the attention to detail as the first time we went, wasn’t like that. We still enjoyed eating here ans would definitely recommended.

Whole family loved it!

We stumbled across Il Tano in July after giving up on looking for somewhere to eat in Port Alcudia and fortunately decided to give it a try. We all absolutely loved it! The pizza was amazing and the atmosphere was super friendly + trendy. The waiter who served us had a good sense of humour and was very kind. I would recommend il tano to anyone if we went again.

The food was very good and abundant, I do not recommend ordering starters if you are going to order an individual dish. It took almost an hour to serve us between the starters and the plate and one of the waitresses as soon as we had our coffee asked us to get up because there were people waiting for a table. Very rude after charging €40 per diner. I would not return.

Great food, but service really does let thus place down. We weren't given a wine list, not a problem we asked. We ordered a bottle of white wine (not cheap), and they didn't bring a cooler with them, eventually another waiter did. Everything was then fine up until our main meals were cleared. It's like we got forgotten about or was just cast aside. We had to chase several times to get a dessert menu, then had to ask several times to try and order a dessert. Eventually we gave up and tried to get the bill. That didn't work either so I ended up going to the bar to pay. Really disappointing and over shadowed the food which was great. We hadn't planned to go here as we had a similar experience in the past, however the place we wanted to go had a limited menu on so thus was second choice. Such a shame as could be amazing if they nailed the service

Good wood fired pizza - bustling open kitchen

Probably a good 3.5 rating: we had two good pizzas, the Burrata and Four Seasons, together with a main course salad and a couple of glasses of Verdejo, which was lovely. We definitely didn’t need two pizzas and could have shared, but both were good, wood fired with fresh toppings. Shame they don’t do a side salad but the main course one we shared was a great mix - very fresh. Booking was essential but if you do arrive and there are no tables, they do takeaway and are a stones throw from the park. It was a nice way to finish our long weekend after quite a few rich meals.

Best pizza and pasta!

Wonderful pizza and pasta! We have been here two times now and have tried the truffle pasta, seafood pasta, as well as the four quesos and spicy salami pizza. It was all fantastic, for a good price. A tip is to have some spicy oil on the side to have with the pizza, spicy but good:)

I had the Porno Pizza and just believe me when I say it is not just a gimmicky name. This might be one of the the greatest pizzas I've ever had. Certainly the most unique tasting. It has a truffle creme base, with melted brie and Italian pancetta, parmesan and a large breaded burratta in the middle (which is like mozzarella mixed with cream inside). So indulgent, decadent and rich. The truffle aroma hits you as soon as the pizza arrives. The waitresses were both very friendly and helpful. The pizzas were perfectly charred (NOT burnt!) which added to the flavour. We'll likely be back here before our holiday is over. Brilliant stuff.
