This tapas bar was recommended to us, it is on a lane beside C&A . As it it small it might worth booking it. The carpaccio of mushrooms was my favorite .The Ribero del Duero was recommended by the host and didn't disappoint

La Mirona has a very good selection of wines and food. Even more special is the couple running this unique place in the most beautiful street Sant Jaume in Palma (I d say). Love the food, the atmosphere and everything everytime ! Mallorca Love

We were a group that occupied the only large table there, not one more would have fit. They recommended it to me, the truth is that everything was very good, but as several of the opinions say, everything is prepared and pre-cooked, all they do there is plate it and heat it in the microwave. We had a wine that we liked, and when we wanted another bottle it turned out that they didn't have any more....so they offered us another one, without being able to look at the menu and prices. The man who serves is very friendly and fun, although somewhat rude, if not rude. He is Catalan to the core, I can understand that far since everyone is proud of their land. Another thing is that you only want to listen to the language of your land!! We spoke in Mallorcan, until then everything was perfect... but when he heard me speak in the "foreign" language which apparently hurt his ear, he told me verbatim: "and how are you speaking in Castilian??..." So I answered that there were two Spanish-speaking friends in the group. From then on his speech was the same as always, that of a lifetime: "majorquins, catalans and foreigners"
It seemed really out of place, very unpleasant. The Nordics, who according to him are very good clients, should they also speak to him in the language of their country? No one has to tell me what language I have to speak, least of all the waiter at a restaurant who is supposed to be a good professional and have to address the customer in their language.

How wonderful!
The atmosphere is just great, sitting in between racks full of great wines, tins and jars.
Superbly tasty tapas, ideal to share with good company.
And a warm and friendly couple running the place, serving and advising you.
Top marks!

A local hidden place hosted by lovely people who do magic and have one of the best choices of wines on the island. You go there once and you return always. Local barrio atmosphere and good place to meet people and learn about new food ideas and wines.

Have a fab wine and lovely homemade tapas in one of the nicest streets of Palma. The owner has the best recommendations of wines to good prices and his wife prepares the yummie dishes. Tiny place with few tables. Better reserve in advance. Highly recommended.

It's worth a visit if you want to try a good wine, but the food is not home-made and it's too expensive, since the portions are quite small.
The owners are polite but not welcoming enough and you feel as an intruder if you don't speak Catalan.
The place is small and, if not dirty, it is too old and needs to be refurbished. They even had a towel (yes, a towel) in the restroom for guests to dry their hands.

First time in this tiny little restaurant and it won’t be the last. We were taken here by two Majorcan friends of ours, who said we would be in for a treat. They were not wrong, we had a fabulous evening, the food was traditional Majorcan food just like mama used to make, tapas style.
Don’t expect to many frills here but do expect the man and wife team to give you a very personal experience in this intimate restaurant.
I think the restaurant holds around twenty people and is tucked away on Carrer de San Jaume, blink and you miss it. The walls of the restaurant were lined with bottles of wine and we left the choosing of the wine to the proprietor. Good choice because he didn’t disappoint.
We had to book a reservation so bear this in mind! Enjoy....

But hard to find. A genuine hole in the wall but worth the hunt. Excellent food, excellent wine and the couple who run it are experts at hospitality. No written menu, the cook explained that she was the menu. So Just Ask.

This has to be the best local restaurant in Palma
Weve tried most (we visit about 8 weeks a year) but this is a true delight.
Lovely food, served with passion and enthusiasm
Our host spoke virtually no English and in our very poor menu spanish we composed a wonderful selection of delights
cant wait to go back

Good wines, good meal, imagination, pleasure. Odd and original. You can buy wines and selected food, or diner in a peaceful not expensive place.

This is a genuine hidden secret of Palma restaurant's! Blink and you will walk straight past this place and miss a wonderful experience. Owned by Pedro, the entrance up 3 steep steps leads you into an Aladdin's cave of wonderful wines and food. Brilliant service, delightful ambience, outstanding fine food with a brilliant choice of wine, and a choice of food beyond belief. No menus and very reasonable prices this is definitely one place not too be missed.
