Disappointed us. It has the name, the fame, the price... But failed in providing a good Japanese meal.

This restaurant is rumoured to be one of the finest in Las Palmas therefore we made the effort to make a reservation and visit it for dinner. It is located on an internal street in a little room. There are around 10-12 tables placed close to each other in a small room. We had a table for 2 in a... More

One of the best sushi experience so far. The tuna sashimi was fantastic! Very fresh and tasty with a soft texture! Wonderful! The rest of the food was also very good but the most impressive was the sashimi. And it wasn't so expensive: 82€ for 4 persons and we only had sushi (around 50 pieces) and drinks (water, beer) . It's... More

I have come 2 times, first totally disappointed because of a bad defrozen sauce and the second I was surprised by the quality of tempuras. Sushi... makis, sashimis and nigiris were slightly better than average because of probably the best ingredients that you can get in Las Palmas but nothing surprising. To disappoint me the most they were constantly trying... More

After reading all the positive reviews, I was a bit disappointed by Fuji. The sushi was certainly good, but hardly spectacular and the service was mediocre. The waiters did not speak English, which is not unusual in Las Palmas restaurants, but most Canarian waiters more than compensate for that deficiency through cheerful friendliness and non-verbal communication. Not so at Fuji.... More

We went to Fuji on the recommendation of a Las Palmas resident who eats there regularly and speaks very highly of the food there. The fact that we couldn’t get a table as the place was full on our first visit is a testimony to the popularity of the place. We telephoned ahead on our second visit. The food fully... More

The Fuji was my first Japanese restaurant ever... 30 years ago! It has been standing in the Guanarteme area of town as a little unassuming place, not very touched by modernity for the last 30-40 years, long before the avalanche of Japanese eateries flooded Las Palmas in recent years. Food is delicious and quite authentic.

If you need a break from Spanish food, then this is an OK alternative. The sushi and sashimi were fresh and good but not amazing. One of our rolls was wrong but since the waiter and waitress did not seem to speak English, we didn't bother trying to fix it. Also, beware: we paid in cash and initially got 10... More

I was expecting more but the restaurant turned out to be a disappointment. Nowadays there's an explosion of japanese restaurants everywhere but only a few are real Japanese. This one is not. Few selection of sushi and sashimi, poorly presented, rice was not good. And the restaurant is pretty sad too. If you are in Las Palmas stick with Spanish... More

We had the really pleasant surprise to have the best sashimi ever in this place. The fish was so fresh, it would melt in your mouth. Highly recommended. Book in advance, as it seems to be full all the time during lunch and dinner time. Reasonable prices for a Japanese cuisine restaurant.
