Good rang of dishes in the lunch menu. You have diferent menu options too. Nice food and big quantity. Typical dishes and very well made. We enjoyed a lot all the things we tried. Fideuà was great! Big restaurant, not cousy but ok. It looks more like a workers restaurant, but youcwill enjoy the food. service is ok.

Maybe the most authentic tapas, very tasty. Served without a trace of quality service, but who cares when the food served was top. If you expect quality environment, high quality service you've missed. Go for the food, delicious.

It was lunchtime on a midweek day between Christmas and New Year and didn't think many "traditional" restaurants would be open but we liked the look of the fixed-price tapas menu and went for it. Best decision all holiday. Probably the best food too. The tapas was beautiful, fresh and well cooked (where appropriate) and most authentic. It really was... More

I honestly thought the arrogance and unfriendliness of the staff here was a joke and something that people visited this place for,but no its no joke. As for the food,it may be cheap but my meal consisting of a simple burger and chips was inedible!

Called in here for drinks and Tapas after a long afternoon travelling. We weren't disappointed. We sat at the bar but because the 4 of us ordered the set menu Tapas (£14 per head) we were shown to a table, where another table was promptly pulled up to take the strain of all the food as it came out of... We visit this little restaurant every year when we visit Barcelona. It isn't posh or fancy but it is a lovely friendly place with fantastic tapas dishes. Many locals eat here, which is usually a good sign, and they make lovely sangria!

When i was a student in Barcelona 5 years ago I used to have lunch in Xaica. For just 10 euros I've got hell a lot of food! Portions were so big, it was enough to eat 1 lunch and survive through the day. So, 5 years later, i brought my husband here to share memories. Well... set menu is... More

This restaurant serves authentic catalunian dishes that is delicious and has a big serving. I love their paella, Price is affordable. The waiters though speaks limited english. It is mostly locals who eat here . Perfect meal after a day of shopping .

Arrogant bartender. If you want to feel like you are an outsider - go here! Beer tastes like beer. We've been to 4-5 bars tonight and this is the worst. I think 2 beers on tap, probably one as when we asked we were looked at like less than life.

Staying in El Raval

Neighbourhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
