Spent two consecutive days eating with my family in this nice old fashioned classical restaurant. Food tasted well and the service is really warm, from entrance to payment.

I ordered paella de marisco and sangria. It was perfect. Not salty and fresh ingredients! I will go tomorrow again!!

We bumped onto this restaurant and decided to try after reading the reviews. Chose the few recommended dishes by the fellow visitors. We had better food elsewhere but this is ok. A little salty to me cause they added coarse salt on top of some food eg honey eggplant. But still good place to eat.

Be careful, if you come here for a dinner. The size if the dishes are more than enough 😄. Delicious and tastful, and the waiter serves the meal with tremendous commitment. Great experience in the historic centre of Barcelona.

Very calm restaurant in the center of Barcelona. Unfortunately the staff weren't able to speak English so I had to order food with my perfect Spanish (I'm able to say about 10 words). Other than that the waitress was really nice. Food was delicious and we even get a bowl of olives as a gift as there was no gazpacho... More

I visited El Rincón twice in a month. Great food (the fried artichokes are a must), attentive staff and cozy place. The only thing I could go without were Julio Iglesias songs in the background.

Changed from the old dark style . Keeps the cochinillo and cordero , Aragonese food, from the past, but decorated to be light and clean. Good olives, bread , an interesting Cargol wine, bacalau, profiterolles ( very good) . Reasonable prices. We were surprised and pleased with the improvement

This place maybe was underrated, few people inside besides that they have a good menu to choose from. Maybe they have do more publicity. Anyways, we went there with friends, their tapa/starter, a rate of 9/10. Their mussels and eggplant with honey was very tasty. We ordered as well the seafood paella, a rate of 7/10, the baked cabrito was... More

Staying in El Raval

Neighbourhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
