This restaurant was recommended so off we went! Food was O.K. Service was not as great however the waiter did run after us when I left my camera at my seat.

We are every year in Jan on a business trip and so we also visit Cuidad Condal.. great ambient, good food and wine. The best is a mix of tapas :)

This is the best dinner you can get. Tip- take your time even though waiters are trying to rush you out ;) food is delicious- homemade whisky cake is a must.

You will wait in line! Seems to attractive tourists. Was recommended by hotel. First visit we had a wonderful and helpful waitress who explained and suggested a nice variety of tapas. A week later we returned, but this visit was not as enjoyable as the first. Our server seemed impatient while we made our selections and seemed overwhelmed with serving... More

There is no booking facilities eat at the restaurant so you get a queue, and there was quite a queue. My wife and I decided to find a stool or two at the bar, 'barra' in Spanish. Luckily we noticed two ladies who were sitting by the barra and about to pay so we stood behind them until they left.... More

Ciutat Comtal was as good as ever on a recent visit to Barcelona. The wait was a little longer but it was a busy Saturday lunchtime but the food was worth the wait. After leaving your name with the host you will get an idea of how long your wait will be so you can wander off to the nearby... More

We have an annual conference in Barcelona and each year we don't miss the chance to visit this place. We sat on the bar with a cold beer and simply sampled the various dishes, and everything was good. Simple fresh sea food, cold cuts vegetables and the highlight is the heuvos con patatas, if you don't try it it's like... More

I would say that this is the best tapas I have tasted! This is a really nice restaurant with lot of local guests and it’s very busy. The service is very good and the staff are very quick. Don’t order to much at once! It is not possible to make a reservation so I recommend to go early and enjoy... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
