All the dishes that we have tried here have been outstanding. It is very popular and there is usually a long wait time to get in. Given the large crowd, I was pleasantly surprised by the outstanding service and how quickly our dishes were served.

This is a popular tapas restaurant near Plaza de Catalunya, and it is similar to the slightly busier Cervesseria Catalana. I might say the food here is slightly better, but the atmosphere, service, and dessert may be better at the other establishment nearby. But, you...More

Recommended by our hotel, this place did not disappoint. High-energy atmosphere, great food, fresh seafood of all types. Every dish came out hot and fresh from the kitchen, made to order. We ate at the bar and - while the staff was very busy as...More

Dined here for dinner, managed to get a seat at the bar whereas if we wanted a table the wait was thirty minutes. We ordered crab, Jason, asparagus and mushrooms, prawn skewers, bread with tomato, croquettes and chillies. None of the dishes were so good...More

The hotel desk clerk pointed us to this tapas bar as the best in Barcelona after giving us the hotel recommendation of a different restaurant. Wow, was this a good recommendation. The variety and quality of the food was superior and the service is excellent....More

Top quality tapas in the heart of Barcelona. We were recommended to try this restaurant but also advised to try the off peak time due to its popularity and good food. We only had to wait about five minutes for a table. Our waiter was...More

The place was jammed and we left our names with the host, and after a half hour we were seated in the bar area. The crowds were offputting, as there is a lot of jostling and trying to stay out of other people's way. But...More

Went to dinner here. Didn't know that there was a Catalan independence rally right outside the restaurant! Took us thirty minutes to get to the door, but it was worth it. Had the whole dining room to ourselves. Tapas was wonderful, prices were reasonable, and...More

Arrived in Barcelona in a fog. It's Sunday and many if not most of the restaurants are closed. Hungry and hazy, I stumbled through the streets arriving at Ciudad Condal around 6 pm. Of course, since we're in Spain, it's empty. Parking ourselves at an...More

My wife and I had lunch here on a recent visit to Barcelona. She had eaten here on a prior trip and had fond memories. It was a bit of a let down for sure. First they stuck us in the back with what looked...More

Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you
enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally
translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes
recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant
atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district,
Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end
international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the
glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best

Tapas (pintxos) are most definitely available at your table or at the bar. This restaurant is mostly tapas, but sometimes offers paella late at night (after 8:30 pm when we were there).

They have an extensive menu with many items I would consider gluten free, I.e. Serrano ham, tropical fruit salads etc.
