Great location. Good wine. Bread and water ok if expensive. Food didn't even make disappointing. Cold and salty fish - not eaten. Cold and salty sauce - not eaten. Small portions except massive portion of stirred fried noodles (not eaten) as a surprise addition to...More

We happened upon Merendero de la Mari while walking in the Port Vell area of Barcelona. There is a strip of 4-5 restaurants and they had the most people so we made the decision to eat here, Yes...this was the priciest meal we had on...More

With a view, this restaurant is great for an outside meal at the terrace. Irregular service procided by a mix of spontaneous and efficient lady and a kind of grumpy senior waiter... The food was good, you could taste the freshness of the fish. Tempting...More

Business meal following team meeting. Restaurant happily moved us to a larger table as our group expanded beyond our reservation. Tapas to start: mussels, really crispy and light croquettes and white-bait - delicious. Main course black rice paella - really good. Others had paella or...More

My husband, 3 children and I enjoyed a lovely evening here last night! The Waitrose were attentive and knowledgeable and the food was beautiful, especially the special paella! Would also urge you to try the desserts, in particular Pinkie's Mojito dessert...amazing!!!!

We took the jamón and the dorado in salt crust. Both dishes were absolutely tasteful. Of course you pay a premium price because of the location, but the quality of the food definitely makes this restaurant absolutely worth a visit.

Great location on Port Vell. Attentive staff. Extensive seafood menu. The gazpacho to start was delicious and very refreshing on a very hot summers day. We all had paella as a lunchtime main. Despite being very tasty, the portion was far too big for lunch...More

Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area
can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging
over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each
other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing
games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away,
Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line
the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed
sand structures making this the most visited beach in
