It is very good seafood restaurant on sea side in the building from museum of catalana. We enjoyed our food had many appetizers like sea snails and kalamaris all was delicious and as main course paella with sea fruits very very good. Only bad thing was slow waiters rest was wonderful dinner in Barcelona.

Visited yesterday with my parents and husband. I have to disagree with recent reviews in that the food was sub standard and overpriced. €250 for 4 of us - no dessert, no coffees. The ingredients seemed poor quality, which is unforgivable in a city like Barcelona and the service was average at best. We will not be returning and I... More

We wanted to eat at the port Vell, outside, and did choose this terrace random. The lunch was really of a very good level, the thuna carpaccio is fantastic, the seabass in salt was also superb, like the fish paella and the monkfish ... It was a very nice family lunch, nice service and people, not cheap but correctly priced.... More

Checked their website and found out they don't open for dinner until 8:30pm, so we opted for lunch. Had the seafood paella, and it was unbelievably good. We always worry that shellfish would be cooked too long, but not here - it was perfect. Portions were generous enough that 4 of us ordered 3 mains, and it was plenty of... More

Great place to sit outside and enjoy a nice local meal - service was in top and the food was well prepared and nicely served - the bread was standing out warm and fresh - a place worth while visiting again on my next trip to Barcelona.

I took a friend for her birthday dinner. She wanted Paella. We were told this was good. We ordered The special Paella. It was so salty that I couldn't even eat half of it. I did not complain because it was a special dinner, but they did not ask me either. They did bring water (tap water in their caraf).... More

The restaurant might be a little bit big for those that dont like crauded areas, but the food really reveals the colors of spain. Emjoying a nice wine and a paella in the terrace is a most when you come to barcelona.

The worst meal and service I have ever had.Surly waiters slopped our plates down in front of us and spilt wine as they poured. Food poorly presented, not particularly tasty and very expensive. On top of that we were charged for wine and puddings that we had not ordered. Bread was charged extra. My lemon sole in orange sauce was just... More

We had booked a table outside on the same night that a very large thunderstorm passed over Barcelona, but not to worry they found us a table inside. The choice of food and wine is second to none, all the dishes are freshly prepared and cooked to perfection. We have eaten here on a couple of occasions and it's always... More

Staying in Barceloneta

Neighbourhood Profile
Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away, Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed sand structures making this the most visited beach in the city (the shirtless men working out might help too). You’ll know by the delicious aroma that you're in the right place to try some of the best and most authentic seafood including paella, Spain’s national dish.
