I like dinner outside there and when I go I chose the beef to cook on hot stone at the table. Beef is excellent and it goes well with cava. They should spray the place against mosquitos who can be nasty when the weather is humid. Service is friendly.

The service was not very accomodating and unflexible and the Calçot were not properly cooked. It is a shame, because I love calçot and this place is so easily accessible with public transport and has a great view across the city.

Calçots, a sort of forced spring onion, are uniquely Catalan. Only available between about November and March, if you're are going to eat them it must be at a Calçotada out in the country side. This is an ideal setting without travelling far as long as you can find it. Spectacular views over Barcelona. Calçots are cooked in an old... More

We went here for my birthday, as it was years ago I've had calçots. In Barcelona there's not many places they do calçots on open fire, so we picked this one pretty much by chance. And certainly the choice was great. A couple of warnings first: the restaurant is located up in the hills, and not easy to find. The... More

Our dinner at Can Marti was very enjoyable, because of the people as much as the food. The service could not have been more friendly or helpful, and they made us feel like locals. The restaurant is in a relatively quiet side street, a nice break from the noise and bustle of the main streets in Sitgas. And, of course,... More

A group of us went there this weekend and I must say, I was looking forward to it and the restaurant itself looked promising with nice views of Barcelona etc... It was the worst calçotada experience ever (excluding the company of course) First, we ordered drinks at the bar and were short changed. We then ordered the 30euro menu, which... More

Calçots are spring onions grown south of Barcelona in Tarragona. If you're around between January and the end of March, it's a great experience that will leave you full for a day! The calçots are thrown on an open fire and the outsides are charred, leaving the insides soft and sweet. Put on a bib, peel of the charred skin... More
