A friend recommended this restaurant to us and we were not disappointed. We were concerned with 13 course menu, but did not need to be. The courses were light and small, but more important excellent. They were all presented in unique and creative ways. From...More

It was everything we had hoped. We chose the larger tasting menu and the matched wines (although be sure to browse the wine list just for fun) while sitting on the terrace drinking Cava, and having then visited the kitchen, for the next four hours...More

Toqued by Chef Jordi Cruz since 2010, the 39 year old now holding two-Michelin Stars for the past five guides, ABaC Restaurant was booked as the final meal in Barcelona largely as a result of afternoon reservations available on Sunday, a 13h30 arrival at wooden...More

I was invited by a supplier but quite easily, one of the most impressive meals I have ever encountered. A taster menu with 14 courses. every dish was different, served in it's own unique way, but the taste was exquisite. Would definitely recommend if you...More

Had dinner there Monday 2nd October. Food was god but not hugely memorable. We had dined at a one Michelin star restaurant the previous Saturday and found the food more memorable. Found the greeting a little stiff and cold. Did not enjoy the garden before...More

We booked ABaC in February for our trip to Barcelona in September! The staff welcomed us in a very classy way with a glass of Cava /prosecco/ in the terrace. They had two options for a menu - 16 course for 2,5 hours and 22...More

The service and the ambiance was good, and the presentation was a five. However, they need to focus more on the taste and the flavors of the food. I expected a little more from a two Michelin star restaurant - it was good but not...More

We dined better at ABaC then in other theorectically superior Michellin starred restaurants. The region and setting are gorgeous, service was perfect. Food was inventive and tasty; we loved every single plate. Good wine list. A must try while in Barcelona.

I'd give it a miss if I were you. The chef who created the original ABaC now has his own place in Barcelona. It is called Celeri and I think you will find it a much more rewarding experience. His ethos is based on pleasing... More

Description
In 2000 ABaC Restaurant opened its doors in his first location, Carrer del Rec 79 in Barcelona. In May 2008 changed to his new address in Avenida Tibidabo, 1. The gastronomy is the fundamental axis of the project. The restaurant awarded with 2** Michelin, and nominated by The Best Restaurant 2011 in Catalonia by the Catalan Academy of Gastronomy, can seat up to 56 diners. Located in the newly constructed pavilion in direct contact with the garden, the interior and the exterior are found through large windows. It is a caprice of whites, in all tones. In a calm, neutral and elegant atmosphere, the sense of sophistication is shaped by the small details and the materials used, as well as a sophisticated combination of lights. The kitchen of 200 m2 has been designed by Joaquim Casademont. It is a black container, in which stainless steel furniture takes all leadership, an effect that has been reinforced by the lighting, a route marked by leds serves as a guide and allows the guests to cross it. Rooms for private events with a capacity of 20 to 60 diners respectively, complete its restoration facilities. The "Lounge Bar", which opens until 2.00 p.m. and where the music, light and color of the room subtly change; There is also an extensive cellar, offering near 1000 references, and from which you can select your perfect wine. Chef Jordi Cruz and his team of young professionals develop a creative cusine of superb technique, based on the product and which meets both creativity and tradition. In addition, our attentive yet friendly service create a professional but relaxed atmosphere, which makes ABaC holder of 2** Michelin.
