This is one of those places that you wouldn't notice next to the greatness of the Santa Maria del Mar. And yet, once you go inside you are amazed by the pleasant and quiet atmosphere. I ordered seafood paella which was delicious, served in an almost flat pan. The place is very clean and tidy, the waiters are very helpful... More

Great atmosphere and reasonable prices. The restaurant is right next to the walls of the church Santa Maria del Mar. We ate octopus with paprika on potatoes drizzled with olive oil ond of course Paella. Paella was very good, without mistake. But octopus was amazing. This was one of the best prepared octopus I've ever eaten. As I said prices... More

It's a charming little restaurant that serve really tasty food. The service was great and we enjoy it a lot. The prices were quite reasonable and you don't have the feeling that you are in a touristic place.

Was looking for a nice dinner relatively late when we stumbled across Mar de la Ribera. Between the two of us, we shared a paella, fried baby squid, and chorizo. Everything was prompt, fresh and delicious. Fantastic service, great family run feel, and a great way to end a trip to Barcelona.

Probably the worst place I've eaten in Barcelona. Food was all deep fried and greasy, wine average and service slow and indifferent. It's only saving grace was that it was fairly cheap

I looked on internet for an affordable paella and opted for this place. We ordered fried artichokes and paella for 2. The price was ok (6.8 euros for the artichokes, 9.9 euros per head for the paella). The artichokes tasted good but the dish was so tiny. The paella was a good amount but the taste was just average. Water... More

Stopped here for lunch as we were in the area. Very tasty food. Particularly liked the lentils & squid. And there calamari dishes are yummy. We went back the next day for lunch as well. Seemed like all the other patrons on both days were locals. Prices are consistent with most other places but quality of food better. As a... More

Familiar atmosphere, nice tapas and fantastic quality/price. The cod fish was excellent as well as the brownie.

Went to this restaurant twice for small dishes of various seafood and also tried the Paella. Everything was quite tasty and along the cozy atmosphere and friendly service, it was just what the doctor ordered after a long day of walking all over Barcelona. Ended both visits with a nice dessert and coffee which hit the spot. Favorite small dish... More
