Visited late on a Sunday evening on the last night of a weekend break and am disappointed I hadn't been earlier. It has a good selection of wines and Cuca, the waiter, offered me tasters of different ones before I made my selection. The food was sublime........ordered beef filet and "rabo de toro" (ox tail) which was the best I... More

Great selection of Spanish wines at a reasonable price. Very nice & upscale wine bar. We liked it so well we returned the following day. We had the cheese plate...excellent. One of our favorite spots in Barcelona. Highly recommend!!👍👍❤️

We wanted to try the better wines of the Torres winery which we paid a visit earlier during our stay in Barcelona. This would be the restaurant where one could try different top wines pairing with the well-prepared food, as different wines could be ordered by the glass - a very good gesture which other restaurants offering fine dining should... This place was a surpise, walked by it a few days earlier and finally checked it out. Food was incredible, and then we found out it was owned by the Torres Wines family and it all made sense.

If you are in need for a great bottle of Spanish wine, this is the place to go in Barcelona. Torres is a well known name for excellent wine. You can also drink the wine at the bar. I purchased a bottle of Purgatori for 29 Euros which was delicious and brought it to a friend's house that invited us... More

We chose to sit outside on the sidewalk for a glass of cava. The small but tempting menu led us to the best smoked salmon salad we had ever eaten! It was so good that we craved it again on another day. Extremely inviting and friendly staff and excellent people watching perch!

My Catalonian friend suggested we drop in here for lunch (nearly dinner for this American!) on a recent spring afternoon. We had so much wonderful food and drink, and the service and ambiance were so delightful, that we didn't leave for hours. My fresh fish was served with prawn foam, making the entire dish seem like it had been delivered... More

This time, we sat inside at the bar - not the kind of thing that we would normally do but it turned out pretty good. Another warm reception and very helpful staff. This time, we had two glasses of cheap red wine but the waiter's eyes did light up when I asked for the tuna belly and foie gras tapas.... More

Very nice restaurant with tasty dishes and desserts accompanied by a reasonable list of wines. Situated on the elongated pavement of Passeig de Gracia where you can enjoy your meal while enjoying the vibrant neighborhood.

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
