It was our first day in Barcelona and were looking for a nice beach restaurant to drink/eat at so me and my husband could enjoy the view while keeping an eye on our son playing on the sand. First, the waiter or welcoming host (not...More

We are very sorry that your experience at Sal Cafe was not enjoyable. We give great importance to customer service and to avoid issues like the one you describe to happen again I would be very grateful if you could let me know on what...More

The name Sal Cafe may be misleading because they offer a rather broad selection of dishes predominantly seafood. I went for grilled seafood plate and man, I had a seafood orgy! It was huge! What you can't see on the photo is two large pieces...More

It was the worst place in more than a year living in Barcelona. I have been to hundred places and never happened something like this. We have seated, the first guy asked if we were going to eat or drink, we said we were for...More

Next to the crowded beach promenade this restaurant offers various dishes. Overall it was okay, but of course overpriced due to the location and the touristic character. The staff is friendly, the ambiance is neither inside nor outside something special. Just to fill your stomach,...More

We walked up from the city to find a gluten free friendly restaurant along the beach to eat a relaxing lunch. Service was great, the location is good. Food was good, the Paella was a bit oily. The guacamole was great.

After not visiting this restaurant in a while, I had a Sunday lunch there with my family last weekend and it is still my favorite place for a delicious green salad and a traditional Spanish rice dish. The waitress was very friendly and the food...More

Contrary to some of the other reviews, my family and I had a really good lunch here. Guess it all comes down to expectation as I do agree that the prices are certainly higher than other restaurants we have eaten at and service was a...More

We ate lunch here today and came away feeling completely robbed. My husband had an overpriced paella, which was burnt. The kids and I had burgers, which were expensive and very average (and it is only now, reading other reviews, that I can see that...More

But sadly the food cannot he complimented in the same way. Paella was dry and overlooked, my burger was not too bad but was horrendously overpriced as was pretty much most of the menu. I could hear complaints from people at tables around me so...More

Description
Sal Café has an enviable position on Barcelona beach, facing the Mediterranean Sea. Its cooking intertwines Mediterranean tradition with cuisine from other whereabouts, such as Japan, Indonesia or Brazil. The restaurant is decorated with retro touches and a nod towards the 1970s, which gives it a welcoming feel day and night. Sal Café’s size allows it to cater large events, for more than 250 people. It is open all year round and can organise breakfasts, lunches, dinners and any other events for both corporate and private celebrations.
