My wife and I spent the morning on the beach in front of Sal Cafe, and decided to go there for lunch so we could watch our chairs and umbrella while we ate. Someone greeted us and told us we could sit on the terrace...that...More

I have waited for 10 minutes for a round of drinks~20EUR. The sangria was not 50cl but 30cl and was full of ice. The prices are higher if you are on terrace...everybody is on the terrace!

Very disappointing. Staff were rude, got my drinks order wrong & had finished my very average food before they eventually brought me some mayonnaise. Disappointing as location is ideal.

Came here because of the nice view however the staff were over rushing to the point that they got our order wrong. Asked for an iced coffee received an expresso and then a glass filled with ice. Food was brought over promptly however on the...More

I wish I had read the reviews before ordering here ! The paella was overpriced and the seafood less than fresh most of it inedible. Overpriced ignorant staff and no sign of our change ! Robbed !!! Save your money and eat elsewhere.

The name Sal Cafe may be misleading because they offer a rather broad selection of dishes predominantly seafood. I went for grilled seafood plate and man, I had a seafood orgy! It was huge! What you can't see on the photo is two large pieces...More

Next to the crowded beach promenade this restaurant offers various dishes. Overall it was okay, but of course overpriced due to the location and the touristic character. The staff is friendly, the ambiance is neither inside nor outside something special. Just to fill your stomach,...More

Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area
can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging
over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each
other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing
games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away,
Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line
the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed
sand structures making this the most visited beach in

Sal Café has an enviable position on Barcelona beach, facing the Mediterranean Sea. Its cooking intertwines Mediterranean tradition with cuisine from other whereabouts, such as Japan, Indonesia or Brazil. The restaurant is decorated with retro touches and a nod towards the 1970s, which gives it a welcoming feel day and night. Sal Café’s size allows it to cater large events, for more than 250 people. It is open all year round and can organise breakfasts, lunches, dinners and any other events for both corporate and private celebrations.
