Came here on a friend's recommendation and was not disappointed! Had some late afternoon tapas which was very tasty and good value for money. The restaurant is in a quiet square away from the touristy parts so was nice and relaxing. Some buskers appeared and added to the atmosphere with some relaxing guitar music! Staff were friendly despite my terrible... More

Poor food and poor service, bad experience. The food wasn't properly cooked and when confronted with this they just wrote us off and told us it was our fault that we stresses them.

We were staying near the Placa de la Villa de Gracia and thought we would have tapas at this restaurant one evening, sitting indoors as it was a cool evening. We ordered a variety of tapas from their menu and overall, compared to the tapas we had in other areas of Spain, the food was passable. The service was friendly,... More

I always eat here when a foreign friends visits Barcelona, they've got great variety of food at reasonable prices. I wouldn't order paella here though, but anything else is tasteful.

Very good and especially original tapas for a very fair price. Quite busy so you might need to be a bit patient but it s definitely worth it

Nou Candanchu is very good for food and service (waiters very nice, quick and competent). Food was served quickly despite the fully booked restaurant. Price is competitive.

Gràcia is a young district of Barcelona and it is full of very nice tapas places and bars. I've been in this area many times as my friend lives very close but it was the first time in this tapas restaurant. I was extremely surprised as the food was absolutely excellent and superb. The quality and the presentation left me... More

we ate from the menu - the deal of the day set menu, this was a great bargain and we enjoyed a lot of wine with the meal. The food was ok, i would not say it was fabulous but it certainly wasn't horrible. It was a very traditional based menu which was nice.

We were 2 children and 3 adults, trying to have a nice tapas lunch at the terrace of this restaurant. At arrival, the waiter was reluctant for us to stay and eat at the terrace, no smiles whatsoever, but let us take the table anyway. His appalling behaviour started when he threw the cutlery and glasses on the table, followed... More

Staying in Gracia

Neighbourhood Profile
Gracia literally stands out from the pack. It used to be an independent town until late into the 19th century. Though it’s just a short commute away from the centre, a visit here feels like you’re in a whole different city. The bohemian vibe has drawn many international artists to this area, resulting in a wide selection of galleries, live music and artsy boutique stores. The nightlife is centered around the vibrant Gracia’s plaças, where young and old gather to enjoy a drink outside. Carrer de Verdi, its main street, offers affordable restaurants and a movie theatre that screens new as well as classic films in their original language. However Gracia's greatest treasure lies just up the hill at Guell Park, where Antoni Gaudi's vibrant and revolutionary art sculptures stand atop unequaled views of Barcelona.
