we were there on a Saturday day evening when practically everything else was closed and were very surprised to find a very good place to eat at this time. The food was awesome, very good location and prices were rather low.

As a Bulgarian, I wanted to try the banitsa here. However, upon arrival, I was negatively surprised that there were no prices (just like in the Paki shops with which I've had bad experience). Because of this, I was ready to leave immediately but decided to ask how much the banitsa was anyway. It was 3.50. Now, I wanted to... More

Dear Ingrid: In the preparation we only use first quality ingredients as mushrooms, dry tomatoes, olives Kalamata, asparagus, fresh red fruits, chocolate 70% ...., also as imported Bulgarian yogurt and cheese. We are proud of our 100% handmade product. This store is not a market, so the prices are on the menu. You can find industrial food for €1-1,50.., but... More

Nice small place in the Barcelona city center where you can try the famous and traditional Bulgarian bànitsa. Well, also several "fusion" versions :) Highly recommended! A lovely piece of Bulgaria in the heart of Barcelona! You will make a plan to visit our small country Bulgaria after that! For sure! :) C'mon it is in Europe!

If you feel hungry and want to eat something different than a Spanish food, try here and eat something very healthy and delicious. Everything here is home made and known by all people from eastern europe. The owner is a very sweet lady. I guess she likes her job a lot. That is why boreks are very delicious.

We loved this place, went there two times trying different varieties of pastries - different fillings, savoury and sweet, but the same amazing pastry thin as a paper. Fresh and authentic. Also coffee and Bulgarian yogurts and cheeses etc to take away. Great place to have a snack!

Traditional Balkan baker in Barcelona. I love Arabic pastries and these are similar but slightly different both have the major advantage of being honey rather than sugar based. These ladies are Bulgarian and the pastries are quite rich and authentic. Nice service nice people and I am sure they will do well. Catalans are not the greatest people when it... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
