We were taken here by a local friend who regularly comes here for lunch - it is popular with people who work in the nearby university building. It was busy at lunchtime so booking or turning up early (I.e. around 1.30) is recommended. Varied lunch menu with two dishes or just one dish if you prefer, at a competitive price.... More

We came as part of a larger group and got a nice separate room on the upper floor. Service was friendly and very fast. All food tasted good but the locals in our group were not impressed.

Nice food, very clean and service was fantastic. The waiter and waitress go out of thier way to please. The food was very nice, I loved the feel of the place. Lots of locals, which really confirms this place has great clean food. We made a great choice

Just finished lunch here. Looking for calcot experience (grilled onions) and found this place on trip advisor. Stopped in at ~1:30 on a Friday, after a rainy and cold morning walk tour in Barcelona. One other person in the place, so we were nervous. Had the calcot (Excellent!!!), and when we left at ~3:30, place was absolutely packed; I mean... More

As the title says, this was the reason we visited and they were absolutely incredible. Best taste experience in Barcelona of our entire trip. Staff were very friendly and always made themselves available for us and with a genuine smile. Make time to visit L'Antic Forn if you want to try something authentic and new.

Thank Jamie L

Staying in El Raval

Neighbourhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
