Very small portions (main dishes look like tapas) and they don't have everything from the menu. Beggers come at your table and the staff doesn't care. Dissapointing!

We had a stunning bottle of wine in this place one evening on our way out as it was close to our hotel so we decided to repeat our visit and have lunch. We only ordered a couple of dishes but I can honestly say that our Goats cheese salad was the best I have ever had - the goats... More

We stopped in here after visiting the Picasso Museum. We were all starving, so grateful for a place that was open with some tables. The atmosphere is cozy and interesting. We had the hummus and the nachos to start, both were good. My son and husband had the lasagne, they said it was good but not outstanding. I had the... More

Have resisted the square where this restaurant is three times in the last two days. Several places to sit and have coffee/food here and a small play park for small children. My cheese plate was lovely. I even ate the goats cheese with the sweet 'jam' it was served with. Normally avoid goats cheese.

The service was wonderful, the food was very nice and well presented. There were a lot of drinks to choose from. Very casual and relaxed atmosphere. Not far from our hotel.

We were forced in here by the rain and were in desperate need of some lunch after being turned away from a few restaurants that were fully booked (it was some sort of Spanish festival so extremely busy). Came across Bar Upiaywasi and they had tables available. My partner had nachos which were a generous portion - the guacamole was... More

Stopped by and had some dinners. Chicken and garlic potatoes with salad were good. Well cooked and tender. Nice to dine at outdoor patio. Good spot to watch people went by.

Bar Upiaywasi is a cool little bar on carrer de l'allada-vermell which is actually more a square than a street. It is a perfect place to relax in the evening and enjoy cocktails and snacks. Very friendly service. We love their coco mojito which comes with grated coconut and has wonderful flavor. Perfect with some nachos or hummus.

The focaccia tomato mozzarella was just cheap pizza, not thoroughly baked, with lots of cheese and a bit tomato sauce. Drinks came fast, but cheap pizza needed 30(!) Minutes. Just don't go - tourist trap. Save money and time, don't go :(

El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighbourhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants.
