We stopped here visiting Barcelona... A big mistake. The staff was unprofessional, even for an amateur touristic restaurant. As an example, we asked for an starter, and two main dishes for us and two other for our children. 40 minutes later, I asked why they were so slow, and they told me that some of the dishes were already done,... This Basque restaurant has seating inside and at the back, facing la Bocqueria market. I sat there, with waiter service. The view is good, but I suspect the prices are higher here because of the view. Service was a little slow. All the other customers were tourists like me. The food was good, I had pulpo a la gallega, but... More

One half litter draft beer 7 euros. They charge you few slices of bread and in our case the prices in the bill of the four "tapas" we ordered did not match (not a single one) with the prices in the menu. They claimed that just the evening before the boss changed the prices because they were "too expensive". In... More

We thought this would be good, located adjacent to the market. Service was slow and getting our food was slower. When we finally got our food it was okay. We had been sitting there so long the beer was empty. We asked for a refill and the waiter said okay, but it never happened. We flagged the waiter down for... More

The Saint Josef Market is closed on Sundays. So we went to this restaurant for lunch. The food was OK, but ONE GLASS OF SANGRIA COSTS 8.95 EURO?! Very terrible experience here!

Frozen seafood. Bad and unfriendly service. Basically nothing works as it's supposed to do. Please don't eat here! There are many many better places around the market.

We went to this restaurant with my wife the first day of our arrival. We were tired and went to this restaurant, even if we noticed that it is a restaurant for tourists. As expected, the food was not very good.

Didn't check the reviews before going here, however it is strategically located close to the market with a few signs for deals. The food was okay, however we were overcharged for drinks as others have highlighted in their posts (almost 7 euros each for a medium sangria). Since the restaurant has no drinks menu, they can in theory charge what... More

Staying in La Rambla

Neighbourhood Profile
La Rambla
Barcelona's most famous street was once a dry riverbed. Now, La Rambla is a 1200-metre boulevard, and a major draw for visitors. During the day, La Rambla fills with pedestrians, some of which stroll past impressive human statues and artists while others take a break to people-watch while enjoying a drink at one of the many terraces. Housed here is the iconic Boqueria Market that offers one of the most varied and appetising selections of local produce and specialty meats and treats. While it’s important for tourists to keep an eye on their belongings at all times, this area is most safely explored in the daytime and is a must see for everyone who visits.
