This place has management changed but it looks the same. Food is good and quality too. Our server (I would say Argentinean, super nice) was helpful. It was the second time and quality has decreased a bit.

I had a great time. Friends had suggested this restaurant saying the food was great! I was expecting great food and it sure did match my expectations. The flavours are amazing and very good presentation. The staff is extremely friendly. Definitely one of the top 5 in Barcelona. I'll be back soon! I recommend to book a table in advance.... More

Serious change in atmosphere and quality since new management took over. Less generous helpings, simpler presentation. Probably a scaling down in quality to boost volume while reducing kitchen staff.

As always, great food, good service and nice environment. The ceviches are the best and my son absolutely adores the lomo saltado. We keep coming back for celebrations...

I have been to a lot of Peruvian restaurants in Barcelona: some are bad, some are good, but no one is at this level. What is really incredible is that the high quality of the food and the service is CONSTANT. I must have eaten in Tanta maybe 15/20 times and I have never been disappointed. Prices are high-ish but... Tanta is a fantastic Peruvian restaurant. The interior is elegant and welcoming at the same time. You are greeted by a very nice, distinct and professional girl that accompanied you in this experience in the Peruvian food and drink. All was good and our evening was unforgettable. Five stars!

Was our first time trying peruvian cuisine, tasted really good. But be aware, if you don´t like "cilantro" you should ask for plates without it, because the cook likes to add it. Service didn't speak English, but wasn't a problem for us at all. The restaurant has quite much space so the tables are not that close as they are... More

Table for 6 was fine - noise level was good. BUT THE SERVICE WAS GOD-AWFUL! Our first plates (ceviche to share) came about 20 minutes after ordering. The rest of the shared part (causas) came 15 minutes later. Our main dishes took another 45 minutes to come out. When one of our party complained about the wait and asked to... More

You can choose The Market or Santa Ceviche, but this place will remain as the best choice for Peruvian cuisine. Try the Pisco Sour and then go for ceviche and causa. And that's it!!

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
