We love Botafumeiro! The seafood is wonderful, staff are friendly and helpful and the experience is always great. This time we had anchovies and grilled scampi to start followed by the seafood paella - all utterly delicious. Don't miss homemade cannelloni with custard and warm...More

This is a traditional and exceptional seafood restaurant. Prices are high but the food and service are extraordinary. One tremendous advantage for non Spanish tourists is that you can make dinner reservations as early as 5:00pm.

This is one of Barcelona's dining institutions with impeccable attentive service by friendly staff. The (mainly) seafood is superb with a wide range of excellent crustaceans at relatively reasonable prices. Classy decor and musicians add to the overall experience. Actually overall very good value and...More

After a short cab ride from my hotel we dined at what could be the best fish and seafood restaurant in Barcelona if you want to order a la carte. I would especially draw your attention to the paella parellada for sharing amongst the diners....More

Not for me...the food is very expensive, and frankly not all that great, the huge venue looks like something you can find anywhere, and it is just sort of the type of place that you feel like the concierge that sent you here is getting...More

Gracia literally stands out from the pack. It used to
be an independent town until late into the 19th
century. Though it’s just a short commute away from
the centre, a visit here feels like you’re in a whole
different city. The bohemian vibe has drawn many
international artists to this area, resulting in a
wide selection of galleries, live music and artsy
boutique stores. The nightlife is centered around the

Among the three hundred diners that fill this 30-year-old restaurant every day, you may spot the King of Spain, movie stars, and politicians. Botafumeiro has to be a well-oiled machine to keep all and sundry happy and coming back for more, and it does. The decor is so trad, with wood railings and banisters, white table linens, and nautically-themed art and objets. The menu focusses on the sea, try fruits de mer for two to start, followed by anglerfish fisherman's stew with white beams or one of the barbecued fish, then a dessert of Belgian chocolate volcano with chocolate sherbet. Wine list is an ambassador for Spanish wines.
