Really nice food, good service and interesting interior in Gaudi designed home. It is quiet and opens earlier than some at 8. As we were tired from travel, it was more than satisfactory on all fronts. Not cheap though.

Yes, the building where Casa Calvet located on ground floor is great, it is a Gaudi building in which people actually live now and is not one of those invaded by tourists. But this is not about architecture, this about food, right? If you enjoy scoring with Michelin star targeting restaurants, you may like this much more than I did,... More

We dined at Casa Calvet last night and absolutely loved it. The prawn cannelloni was probably the best dish I have tasted in 20 years- it was breathtaking. The ambiance is wonderful, the service is excellent and the food is simply incredible. I strongly recommend this restaurant for travelers who seek awesome food and an outstanding dining experience.

Still superb food in an original Gaudi building. Off the beaten track for tourists it seems but you will not be disappointed if you make the effort to find it. The service was also superb - attentive but never intrusive. I hope it's not 10 years until we come again

was here last summer and returned with a friend on next trip to Barcelona. There is a wow moment when walking into the restaurant as the setting is unbeatable. how often can I eat in a Gaudi designed elegant space? Is like walking back in time 50 years. is an elegant restaurant still with parts of the orginal design and... More

Built by Gaudi himself for the factory owner Calvet, the location itself is worth a visit. The staff very friendly, the food modern and traditional in one. The dishes are a dream, served nicely with perfect products. The wine list is long, of super quality and more than priceworthy. The location is a bit off shot from Passeig de Gracia... More

Really disappointed. The Tasting menu didn't really taste. The food was ordinary not simple. The artichoke starting dish was average but it was the first dish so better was to come , wasn't it? Well no, actually the salad was a salad ,the fish was cold, the meat dish was fine but serving it with a dubious excuse "sorry we... More

We took advantage of a lunchtime menu. Not overly expensive for what was provided. The three courses included bread, coffee, a glass of wine and mineral water. Definitely a highly enjoyable experience in a beautiful, lesser known Gaudi building. The ambience, service, presentation and tastes of all the dishes deserve the five star rating. I do hope the team at... More

We were tempted to book this restaurant as it is located in a Gaudi House. Online reservation was confirmed next day. After visiting la Pedrera we walked to Casa Calvet (take 15-20min) and were pleasantly welcomed and surprised by the authentic interior designed by Gaudi. In the menu we read more about the Calvet family and history of the house.... More

Description
Restaurant Casa Calvet is located in Casa Calvet, a building created for a textile manufacturer by the Catalan Architectural genius Antoni Gaudi.

Its accounting offices, management and boardrooms have been converted into semi-private dining rooms where we have preserved taste and elegance to the delight of our customers.

Restaurant Casa Calvet is a unique and exclusive place where dining becomes a sensual experience which blends the state of the art cuisine with the beauty of Gaudi's work.

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
