Great place to visit. Good food. Very friendly staff. Very beautiful place hardly any tourist. Very welcoming. Yes they don't take cards but so what. Not everyone has too. Doesn't make it a bad place. Just makes it vintage. I reccomend it to anyone who wants to enjoy some proper spanish tapas in a cosy and friendly environment.

This place was just a big disappointment for me. We got there at 1pm and I ordered basically Every single item on the menu. The tapas were Nothing special, a lot of greasy food, not too tasty, you can find this quality food anywhere in Spain ... I guess I was expecting a lot more since a few friends suggested... More

Squeeze in at the bar and pull up a chair if you can as this place is great for beer, steak and atmosphere. Always busy and for a reason - its good. The steak with pate was delicious and their hand crafted beer beautiful. The waiters were cheery and quick, and whist it's not the cheapest of tapas bars, it's... More

If you like tapas and beer this is the place to go. Its crouded but their draught beer is fabulous and their tapas will make you smile with every bite. It is easy to see why this is a favortie of locals.

Close to Barceloneta metro. Been a couple of times, great tapas, good service and atmosphere. Seems to be popular with tourists and locals alike. Get a seat at the bar if at all possible - otherwise, prepare to breathe in! Recommended

The beer and tapas were both great. Sank a couple of 'filo' beers which are very moreish! The tapas are traditional I took some boquerones, chorizo, black pudding and croquettes, all good. The steak and fois gras looked very good, you can sit and watch them make it! So grab a seat at the bar and enjoy.

Tiny restaurant (it only disposes of a bar and stools for sitting), always packed and the food reveals their secret. Frenetic rythm, quick, simple traditional spasnish dishes and tapas with great quality and a very fair price. The food is displayed in sight along the bar. Old time decoration and the uniformed bartenders confer the place a sensation of hard... More

I shouldn't rate this great ...cos then you're going to go and get in my way when I'm there next. It was packed packed...but we got in and grabbed a small spot. The guys and regulars are super chill, there's a fantastic buzz! Would dart here anytime cos it was so much fun. Paco and his barman/ tapas-dude mates were... More

Staying in Barceloneta

Neighbourhood Profile
Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away, Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed sand structures making this the most visited beach in the city (the shirtless men working out might help too). You’ll know by the delicious aroma that you're in the right place to try some of the best and most authentic seafood including paella, Spain’s national dish.
