The best food we had in Barcelona. The meat with padron peppers was great but the best was the pulpo! You need to go here when in Barcelona!

This place was recommended by a friend, and we had to really hunt it down - it is so tucked away, but so worth the effort! We had to stand in line for a bit but the staff are really switched on and found us...More

This was our first visit to Barcelona and our ABnB host recommended El Xampanyet. I'm so glad she did!! Xampanyet seems to be a true locals' restaurant in a city full of tourists. Still many tourists there (including us). Too many delicious dishes to describe...More

Don't expect to get a seat at one of the oldest cava bars in the city but do stop in for a few small plates and a drink. Full of locals and always heaving, this is a must do. Check out the neatly piled anchovies.

This tapas bar is one of the oldest one in Barcelona... is a very small place and quite hidden between the small and tight walking streets of Barcelona. The service is excellent... the waitress knew every plate and made recomendations according to my preferences... the...More

We arrived at El Xampanyet far too late to be able to grab one of the elusive tables (I think it was around 21.00), so we reluctantly stood at the bar - lined with fellow diners - and ordered a beer, unsure whether or not...More

I am a little taken aback by the restaurant and the bill, this is not a cheap place to eat, even by Tapas standards. The food is very good and the staff is attentive but as they came around and filled each glass again and...More

I have been coming here since 2000, every year, and it never changes! Some of the wait staff that was there then is still there now. Very popular with locals as well as tourists. In all my years going there, I always leave with new...More

First note to mention if you want a table, or any spot at all, GET IN AS SOON AS IT OPENS. We had a drink waiting around the corner to get there for 7pm exactly, by 7:02 the place was full to capacity. Saying this,...More

Food was good and prices reasonable, but I felt very rushed as there were no tables due to the crowd so we had to eat standing at the bar and didnt get to truly enjoy my meal at a leisurely pace. But that's the charm...More

El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent
the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But
this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually
enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few
places that live and breathe such exciting energy
regardless of the time of day. This neighbourhood
seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the
city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants

I don't think that they take reservations. It's more of a first come first served situation. I would strongly recommend to go earlier before they open especially if it's a larger group of people.
