It is a pleasure to stay in this terrace with good weather. But the place is quite oriented to the tourists, and the food is irregular. The mussels and clams "A la Marinera" are fine, as well as the cod. Nevertheless the "Parrillada" was irrelevant. Some pieces were not properly cooked and the taste not good. The meat is quite... It's a real pity that this restaurant doesnt have a real cook. They do not know the difference between pan-fyring and grilled steak. I ordered a Grilled- Steak as written in the menu but they give me a think slice of pan fried steak. I returned my steak they give me exactly the same. It's really disappointing that this restaurant... More

Great seafood for honest prices. Great choice. Very friendly staff. Their paella is not the best I've had before but worth trying. We all loved the croquettas!

We went there upon a recommendation of a friend. The Paella was very good, and the grilled sea food was also good. We also had 2 side salads and calamari with croquette. The dessert looked delicious but we were full... The staff do not speak english and that was a problem. B

We enjoyed our meal and the location is lovely but be aware that the prices on the menu do not include tax. We only discovered this when we got the bill and on looking more closely at the menu, found that this was printed at the bottom of the menu in the tiniest print imaginable. The staff were friendly and... More

Sat outside one evening under a burner. Lovely atmosphere looking out at the harbour. Nice seafood and fish restaurant. Very busy when we were there. Nice experience to enjoy a meal in the surroundings. Staff were pleasant and friendly, very accommodating.

During our stay in Barcelona we wanted to eat by the port, and there were many restaurants to choose from, but just after we arrived in that area, the heavens opened and there was a tremendous storm with heavy rain and thunder and spectacular lightning. This made choosing a restaurant rather difficult as we wanted to be inside out of... More

I imagine most of the restaurants in the areas rammed with tourists in Barcelona are much the same. They all serve Tapas and Paella and I doubt there is much to choose between them. My friends and I stopped here for lunch on a day trip to Barcelona. Service was prompt and the waiter was very friendly. We ordered fried... More

We had a good paella there, not sure if works like that in Barcelona but the menu was a bit tricky. They write the price of only one paella but at the end you must buy two. Vat was not included so at the end we had a big surprise on our bill, anyway the food was good, wine of... More

Staying in Barceloneta

Neighbourhood Profile
Barceloneta
Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away, Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed sand structures making this the most visited beach in the city (the shirtless men working out might help too). You’ll know by the delicious aroma that you're in the right place to try some of the best and most authentic seafood including paella, Spain’s national dish.
