My grandmother told me she went to one of the last meals served, too bad for this Catalan Classic. This place had the freshest ingredients because of its proximity to the mercat de san josep. I remember the amazing mixtures of delicious wild mushrooms and...More

This is an authentic Catalan restaurant in a side street of the Ramblas. It is classy in a traditional Catalan style. It is old fashioned, and some may find it weird. However, if you want to find out how very good restaurants were operating, this...More

The place is small and it gives you this very special experience of private service. Staff is super discrete and with "ancient" approach of elegance. Excellent catalan food and wide selection of spanish wines. Fresh mushrooms during the season!

This is a small restaurant near Liceu and the Meridien Hotels off La Rambla. It is somewhat pricey for Barcelona so save it for a special occasion. My husband and I went for our last night in Barcelona. You must make reservations during tourist season.

Just off La Rambla on a much quieter side street sits Quo Vadis. We were not expecting much as we read the menu: very old school as was the formal but very friendly service. However, the food shined! Probably the best Beef Carpaccio I have...More

Quo Vadis is one of the most exquisite restaurants in Barcelona. As well as being very central, it is just around the corner from the Liceo opera house, making it the ideal choice after a show since the restaurant extends its opening hours when performances are on. The restaurant focuses on the best of international cuisine and its specialities include ?pot-pourri? of wild mushrooms, foie gras with prunes and cheese soufflé, all of which will satisfy the most demanding palettes. Decoration is luxurious and elegant and the restaurant offers valet parking. Quo Vadis is the perfect place for business dinners or for enjoying the company of family and friends with meticulous service and a first-rate menu.
