Dropped in here at 7pm on a Friday evening. Staff are all very helpful and the food is delicious! By 8pm people were queuing practically out of the door for a table. Definitely one I'd return to

We visited this restaurant after reading lots of good reviews on trip advisor, and must admit we were impressed. The food was really lovely - we ordered 8 tapas to share, plus 2 soft drinks and it came to about €20 each. The gambas and squid was a favourite, a must have! We also tried the fava beans with prawns... More

It's a great restaurant because it has a typical mediterranean food. The atmosphere is fantastic and there are two bigs rooms where you can talk without problems. You can see how the cooks prepare the dishes, for me it's a good point. Above all, the flauta's food is tasty. In my opinion the top dishes are scrambled mushrooms and prawns,... More

Amazing meal. Highly recommend this outstanding restaurant, incredible value. Top dishes are the signature; eggs with potatoes (sounds average I know) the expected curred meats, pardon peppers; its all fantastic. Please do go here it's hard to fault, in terms of service, food and and price. Huge meal, over ordered, wine for six 150 euros. This is about the food,... More

Now that I think about it, I don't think there is a place I ate in Barcelona that I did not love. La Flauta does not disappoint: amazing food. The place is very crowded, though, so book ahead or join the ever-present line of people waiting to be seated (you have to put your name on a list first and... More

Tapas place. The tapas are fresh and amazing. Many seafood tapas like prawns, squid, langoustines. So yummy. You need to book otherwise it's complicated to get a table and the line is long. Many locals are going there which shows it's a good place!

Business partner was looking for a place to eat and based on previous visits I said let's meet here. Never disappoints. Waited at the bar for a table (they don't take reservations for less than 6) but worth every min of the wait. Bar, if you can find room, is a great way to have some samples of tapas and... More

Food - great. Wine- great. Service - great. Go. You will not be disappointed, everything is excellent and cheap for what it's worth. 30-40€ a head you leave feeling no pain and full for the forceable future! Enjoy!

Are you looking for real Catalan/Spanish tapas and food? This is the place.... And you don't have to pay in gold either. Although the restaurant could use a little paint and restoration here and there, you will not find anything like it in terms of quality, service and price in Barcelona. Its local, its fresh, its well served and the... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
