In Barcelona on a city break and we both fancied a nice steak dinner on our last evening. Onto Tripadvisor for suitable recommendations near our hotel and it was a toss-up between this place and La Pampa. Well we went to La Pampa first but it had closed down - so next stop was El Foro. Nice ambience and it... More

We ate here the night before we left. It was a great meal and all of us were very happy with our meals. I had a variety of tapas, my wife had a salmon dish that was wonderful, and my step-daughter a pizza. Overall, a definite two thumbs up!!

Tasty pizza and yummy cheeses. Service was pretty slow, but it is frequented by locals which usually is a pretty good sign.

We raise beef cattle in Canada and apart from our home grown steaks, this was the next best we have had in any restaurant around the world. The rib eye steaks were so tender and full of flavour. Very friendly and helpful waiters helped us pick amazing starters and sides. Can't say enough about this restaurant. Do not miss the... More

A healthy and filling option from the ' chefs recommendations' : bulgar wheat salad with tuna and avocado, and a chickpea and squid dish (Which was scrummy and warm). They kindly took us in very late ( sometime between 10.30 and 11pm) Service very friendly and helpful, food wasn't long coming. All very tasty and exactly what i needed after... More

Late on Boxing Day and we suddenly realised the down side of arriving in Barcelona at this time. We were very glad to come across such an inviting looking place. Our friendly but firm waitress made sure we didn't dither with our order, as the kitchen was about to close. We had pizza to keep things simple, we could have... More

Busy busy place during lunch and price wise it makes it a good spot. It wasn't bad but it is nothing to rave about, it was just decent food at a decent price. If you are in the area it is a good place to visit but I wouldn't go here specifically.

Description
"A place where gastronomy, art and culture come together"

An Argentinean restaurant in "El Born", Barcelona

The restaurant has the appearance of a French bistro, the ambience and decor are part of its charm, but above all, what makes it special and what explains the resounding success is that it is an Argentine restaurant in Barcelona, that offers quality –and price.

We offer an extensive menu with meats imported from Argentina, famous for its cut, taste and quality; handmade pastas; pizzas and grilled cheeses (like the famous provolone) . At noon, from Tuesday to Friday, we offer a menu of Mediterranean fusion cuisine, comprising a cream soup followed by a starter ,main course and desserts . Drinks are also included. There are four types of meat on the menu, these include an authentic Argentinean grill called "Criollo", plus another grill from the La Pampa region called "Pampero" and the Patagonian mixed Grill.

The restaurant has a few private rooms for groups, located on the main floor. In the cellar, known as "El Foro Club" is a space available for a more intimate dinner or simply to have a drink.

Neighbourhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighbourhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
