Food memories are not easily made and often come at the most surprising of times. I ate at La Cova Fumada across two consecutive days - once with a group of seven hungry blokes and the next with two friends. Both times were equally special,...More

The seafood was so fresh it may have only jumped from the sea. The staff were busy but welcoming. We had to wait in the square across the road till our names were called - it was hot so we got a couple of beers...More

The food here are over-seasoned. We ordered sardines and squid among the 5 dishes, all are oily and salty, the chefs have a blank palette. Never visit this place at least you have a blank palette as well.

Everything I'd read about this place was true. Small, crowded, loud and raucous. Just plain fun. If you had told me that I'd be eating whole grilled sardines I'd have said “no way”, but fortunately the people at the next table had ordered them and...More

Amazing food, recommended by a local, enjoyed the seafood, allioli on toast, grilled artichoke (best in Barcelona) in a very friendly family run restaurant. Come when it's not busy. We ate here twice. We understand some visitors make a beeline here first after being away...More

What a great find in Barcelona! Authentic, ideal for a little beer with something (delicious) to eat, old-style noisy neighbourhood bar, unpretentious..

Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area
can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging
over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each
other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing
games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away,
Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line
the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed
sand structures making this the most visited beach in

No reservations for this place... As soon as you arrive you give your name to the waiter... If you go in the weenkend, go early because they close really early. It normally takes arround 20min to get seated. ENJOY!
