We enjoyed an evening meal here with very fresh trunk of hake and monkfish. Clams for starters great and desert good. Only criticism was the price was a little steep for the food we had. Otherwise excellent.

Good restaurant for paella, recomended by the host we stayed at. It has a nice location on the beach, good interior and classy dexorated tables. We ordered paellas, calamari and croquettas. The paella was good, not WOW, but worth to taste it. My opinion is that it didn't cost the money-about 20 EUR per person. The rest if the dishes... More

There are different Cal Pinxo restaurants in Barcelona and some friends who live here advised me to choose this one, less touristy and more traditional than others. The restaurant is simple and friendly, no frills, and offers a huge choice of fish recipes. Typical of Catalonia is surely the row stockfish, that you can taste in different variants, all delicious... More

The view to the beach is amazing and the food is delicious. It is relaxing hearing the ocean and the service is very nice. A perfect place to eat while you go to the beach.

I have been here earlier this year and wanted to come back on my visit to Barcelona. Sitiuated in the yacht harbor with nice view and excellent outdoor sets. I enjoyed a bottle of >Moet et chandon on the terrace with tapas and paella. This is probably the best tomato garlic bread I have even been eating. Nice and friendly... More

Yes! We've just finished a very good dinner in this restaurant. All fish plates, fresh chipirones, Pinxo's money fish, I can easily recommend you! If you come close to this nice Barcellona area come here!

Location is the only thing going for this restaurant and is why they can charge what they do. After chatting with the waiter out front who convinced us that the paella was homemade and contained fresh seafood, we agreed to try it. We had the seafood paella for two which was quite small and with minimal seafood, the 3 prawns... More

The waiter did not now what the courses contained. When I asked I had to help her from the menu. I ordered the Dublin baked prawns, and they served a pan filled with "cocked" prawns. Tasteless and salty. I had to go somewhere else afterwords cause I was still hungry after a 40€ meal. My white ordered monkey fish soup.... More

Nice restaurant on the sea front serving tapas and main meals. We were seated in the outdoor area under linked parasols which had intermittent water spray, which was nice at first but became a tad tedious, we shared a sea food paella and 1/2 bottle of house white wine, the paella was very tasty but a little shy on sea... Staying in Barceloneta

Neighbourhood Profile
Barceloneta
Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away, Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed sand structures making this the most visited beach in the city (the shirtless men working out might help too). You’ll know by the delicious aroma that you're in the right place to try some of the best and most authentic seafood including paella, Spain’s national dish.
