I had heard this was a good place to go, due to them having outdoor tables and chairs near The Boqueria, where space is at a premium and most places in the market have only got high stools and very little counter space. It's to the right of the main market area. Obviously they feel they can charge a premium... More

Unbelievable poor plates. Salad was 5 slices of tomato and 2 of onion. Sardines were 3 piece. Poor quality and poorest quantity... Also nor accepted cards😡😰😨😱

We had very good fresh fish and other Tapas but the plates came without filling (only one had a small salade). It's not a fancy restaurant but it is quite expensive and its place is quite good close to the Mercato.

Excellent food, and the spanish local white house wine was really good too. Excellent value for money.

We visit Barcelona on the weekend of the La Merce celebrations, so the large food market and all its tapas bars were closed for the whole weekend, so we gave Papitu a try. We asked the server to recommend a couple of meat dishes, a few fish dishes and we weren't disappointed, they were all very tasty and very reasonably... More

Looked fine. Service OK for, expensive, not very much. Altogether, I wouldn't bother. Food was, OK I said it, crap. Obliterated it with salt and garlic.

Similar feedback to others on here. Good location and setup but above average prices for unfriendly service and average food.

We sat down at an outside table and waited...and waited....and waited. We were completely ignored. All we wanted were 2 coffees then but might have lunch as the sun was out. It was now 12.20 having arrived at the table at 12.10. So we politely requested the coffees only to raged at by the waiter who said that there were... More

The mustachioed "Clark Gable" looked likey waiter obviously "couldn't give a damn!" Appalling attitude, appalling food at an appalling price! This place should be "Gone with the Wind!"

Avoid avoid avoid. Food very overpriced. Felt forced to buy bread. Worst thing was the mussels were served fully bearded. I naively thought this may be a Spanish thing. However, they tasted bad and I subsequently realised it was because they didn't care and didn't trim them properly. Not nice.

Staying in El Raval

Neighbourhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
