I actually opened a trip advisor account to highlight the poor service and food receive do last week when me and mum visited Barcelona. Upon first impression in the area it looked a lovely little restaurant in the square. Upon arriving we we're provided with a menu, and it took a good 15 mins before we were asked for our... More

We were looking for a restaurant that served both meat and fish as some of our family prefer one or the other. I personally love fish and all that they serve in Barcelona so I was hoping that Tobogán would have something good. Well I was not disappointed, the choice of tapas for starters was endless and the main courses... More

Please avoid this "restaurant". The paella is not fresh and microwaved until it's completely burned. We took a few bites and then stopped eating. The staff is more busy with convincing people to sit on their terras then looking out for the people that already sitting at their tables. I complain about the bad food was ignored and off course... We decided to eat here as it was so sunny the day we arrived and seen a load of people eating there outside so it seemed like an obvious choice. We ordered our food and drinks. When the waiter brought the drinks out he never he acknowledged us and said here you go thanks. Just threw it down on the... More

We chose this particular place from the many around the square, purely based upon the fact it was the busiest. To be honest, we quite enjoyed our tapas meal and the views of the square. The reason we scored it only 3 from 5 is because we ordered chorizo as one of our tapas, and it was the thinly sliced,... More

Waited 20 mins to be served and only after we asked 3 times if we could order. There were 3 of us. 1 had manchego cheese for starter. It tasted as if it had been out since 17.30 - the year not the hour!!!!. Main courses finally arrived. They got the type of paella wrong and it was solid and... More

We sat on the patio under a heater....we had pitchers/Liters of Cava. Our tapas and beverages were great. We did have to flag down a server every time we needed something. Sitting on the patio gives you a great view of the street performers and locals walking through.

It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences.
