We ate a several times in this place. Average.... There is something different/odd tasting in their seafood paella though. I couldn't taste the saffron or turmeric (common ingredient)but they were using a strong type of spice or something . I'm guessing achuete. The flat white fleshed fish that was cooked plancha style was good, fresh. The waiters' services is ok... More

I was really hungry after several hours of wandering around the city and along the beach. Chose actually just random place with "menu del dia" and got salad, paella, dessert and sangria for 15 euro. That was exactly what I needed, and also service was very good and friendly. So 5 from me :)

Terribly awful salad with few ingredients thrown on a plate, the ham it is NOT iberian, and fish is everything but fresh. We complained and the manager admitted all. Nevertheless, we didn't eat the fish because it was not wild as advertised, and it was more than overcooked, but he charged it. I will never recommend this place.

This restaurant looks like a tourist trap, but we recommend you go there and have their Gambas! Tastes wonderful!

We came across this restaurant by accident when my husband and I was walking back from the beach, the 15 euro set menu stood out to us as we had eaten quite an expensive meal the night before so wanted something a little cheaper. We loved this vibrant and busy restaurant, the staff members couldn't do enough for us!! We... More

Had the set menu 15 euros plus a couple of glasses of wine. Had cuttlefish starter and the paella. Absolutely delicious and fast service. Best meal (so far) in Barcelona. Certainly best value.

I visited this place with my girlfriend, and I have to say that the restaurant serves very good seafood! At the beginning I was a bit skeptical because the place looks touristy (it is located on the main harbor drag), but once we tasted the food we knew the restaurant offers good quality for a fair price! (you can have... More

Staying in Barceloneta

Neighbourhood Profile
Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away, Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed sand structures making this the most visited beach in the city (the shirtless men working out might help too). You’ll know by the delicious aroma that you're in the right place to try some of the best and most authentic seafood including paella, Spain’s national dish.
