We needed something to eat feeling tired on our first day. We decided on a tapas meal here. We passed in by the waiter on the door who completely ignored us. When he did want to seat we indicated we wanted to eat and he seated us in the bar area. It does have anupstairs restaurant. The food when it... More

Pricey food with mini size servings. I am sure Barcelona has better options. However, the food taste was okay.

Sat and waited more than 10 mins to be served a beer. They weren't even busy. When they served the person who came after us first, my husband and I walked out.

Usually in Spain I trust the waiter with his recall of items ordered/consumed. Here I think you need to check the bill carefully. This practice will catch up to them sooner or later.

Quick to serve and friendly. The place was a little run down but gave us the rest we needed after a long day walking. People seemed to enjoy the food and it was quite busy. We enjoyed but we were ready for a rest.

I'm amazed there are so many bad reviews given I had three great experiences here on my visit to Barcelona a year ago. Yes, it is a little pricey, but you're sat on La Rambla, the most famous and popular boulevard in the whole of Barcelona, but each time I visited this tapas bar the food was very tasty, authentic... Walking in and seeing the wonderful array of Tapas on offer and people sitting at the Tapas bar eating and drinking beer was welcoming sight. There was a great atmosphere inside and although the English was not so good from the Waiter downstairs the waiters upstairs in the restaurant were very fluent. The menu is very limited and a few... Probably there are less pricey places where to enjoy montaditos, but on a 4-day stay we had no time and patience to find out. Having said that, the service was prompt and courteous and the food&beer looked and tasted terrific. I think they make use of their first-rate location (beginning of the Rambla, right on the corner with the Plaza... More

Staying in La Rambla

Neighbourhood Profile
La Rambla
Barcelona's most famous street was once a dry riverbed. Now, La Rambla is a 1200-metre boulevard, and a major draw for visitors. During the day, La Rambla fills with pedestrians, some of which stroll past impressive human statues and artists while others take a break to people-watch while enjoying a drink at one of the many terraces. Housed here is the iconic Boqueria Market that offers one of the most varied and appetising selections of local produce and specialty meats and treats. While it’s important for tourists to keep an eye on their belongings at all times, this area is most safely explored in the daytime and is a must see for everyone who visits.
