Once again we made a pilgrimage to Girona just for the joy of eating at Massana, and it was worh it. This is the type of restaurant that you can't help but smile with every bite. To say that the food is amazing, delicious, creative, fresh, healthy and wonderfully presented does not begin to describe the experience. Every dish is... More

I visited Massana whilst on a foodie long weekend with some mates. We had the taster menu (with suggested wines) and the whole experience was fantastic. I imagine the general decor is deliberately subdued, with a simple colour scheme and spotlight above each table. But this only serves to ensure the attention is focused on what is on the table,... My wife and I have been to several Michelin star restaurants. This was our second time at Massana and it is by far the best and most innovative restaurant that we have ever visited. We had a total of sixteen courses and each one was better than the next. The "egg" dessert was a thing of beauty and topped off... More

The highlight of the meal was a scallop ceviche which had a foam with hints of apple and anise. This was paired exquisitely with a beautiful Sauvignon by the talented sommelier. A true highlight of my culinary life! A couple of the dishes fell slightly short of expectations but with perfect, friendly service and having the entire tasting menu adapted... More

What a find this was. We were on a 'foodie' weekend and booked Massana for dinner on the Friday night. The restaurant was very welcoming and the service excellent. As it was our first time we opted for the tasting menu which intriguingly had 'scrambled egg' as dessert. The food was delicious. Everything was beautifully cooked and presented. As for... More

Ok, the routine is probably to start with trying to go to El Celler and then and up here. And that's a shame, marketing bullocks and not fair. And yes we did it as well. But.... after the second appetizer - smoked salmon on a macaron with cheese filling - served under a glass bell, there was no more need... More

You would not know it is Michelin-starred by the warm and relaxed service. But from the first plate to the last, you will have no doubts at all. Fantastic food and excellent wine pairing. Informative service, none of those fanciful names or description of what you are being served. A truly memorable evening.

We had a great family dinner in Massana. It starts with a table that was ready for us (each table in the restaurant was prepared in advance with chairs in the exact number for those who made the order), lovely decoration and friendly staff. When the courses start to get out from the kitchen we knew that we were lucky-... More

This meal was among the finest I have eaten, taking the overall experience as a whole. Delightful service, delectable flavours and mellow surroundings.

Went to Massana for dinner after getting a reservation online just 30 hours before hand. We were on bicycles, so could not dress up. No problem with very casual clothes. Food, wine and service were as good as anyplace I've ever eaten. It's pricey, but in this case, I think you get what you pay for. Definitely worth a visit... More
