My latest lady friend and I both had the Menu del Dia, great value at €9 per person. I had the Spanish Tortilla and Fish Stew, the lady had Green Salad and Fish Stew. The food was delicious, and we shared a very tasty white wine with the meal, which was included in the price! Unbeatable value. We were too... More

A little restaurant just round the side of the Parador which had an amazing fish menu which was what attracted us. When we arrived there was only one other person in which was a shame as we had the most delicious meal. An enormous plate of padron peppers and a prawn salad which had a huge amount of juicy prawns... More

Attention American Tourists! This is a great local restaurant in Santiago. The place is near the Cathedral, and is the real deal. Locals eat at this place. Padron Peppers and Pulpo are a must. Very affordable and delicious.

We visited this little cafe/restaurant on Tuesday 20th just after collecting our parchments from the Pilgrims Office having completed a section of the Camino. We had coffee and amazing almond cake which was so good.We then returned in the evening for tapas. This is a basic establishment with a huge heart and exceptionally welcoming staff.

They offer a $9 menu for lunch with delicious seafood soup and many other choices. The mussels were a bit too dry for our taste, without sauce. The other entrees looked better to us: the paella and the pork. Delicious desserts including flan and almond cake. This is a pleasant space for an economical lunch. Close to the main church.

The cheapest menu Was a bad idea. The sup was quite good, the fish and lomo ware pretty bad and the dessert good but small. The treat it was ok until we chose the 10€ menu. The only thing that was good was the position, but You can find better prices a little bit far. Not recommended.

Just literally round the corner from the main square, we found this little local cafe thronged with local people (on our two visits we heard nothing but Spanish). The energetic staff speak English and the food is great value : 10 euros will buy you a substantial and tasty ham omelette and a decent coffee. We had lunch there twice,... More

My wife and I stopped here for lunch after obtaining our Compostela in early June. It was a nice "woody" place, filled with Pilgrims and smelling of home-style cooking and attentive service staff. I had the Empanada (4 euro) and my wife the chicken pasta (8 euro), both of which were delicious. Add to that a couple of the local... More

We came in because the restaurant looked so nice and cozy, we asked what was the sopa was and the waitress said fish soup and gave us a small leaflet menu and left without any explanation. Another waitress came after we had sat for 7 minutes; there was only 1 other table. We wanted to go but being polite we... More

We came across this by chance and it serves a great menu of the day for 9 euros which included wine and water. The standard of food, and service were excellent. It had a great atmosphere. Wonderful seafood soup and paella.
