I had a lovely pasta with creamy pistachio sauce (I think it was the best pasta I ever had), while my wife enjoyed also good mezzelune type of pasta dish. Service was nice, but most of the chairs were not the best fit for our 2 year old toddler - even I nearly fell from my chair. I would most... More

I used to come here often until about one year ago. I went with my daughter, and after the salad, I went straight to the bathroom. Needless to say, the intestinal issue lasted a whole month. I lost 10 lbs, and finally went to the emergency room where they gave me some medicine. Such a shame, because the pizzas are... More

Excellent Italian restaurant in the heart of Madrid. Staff friendly and helpful and food delicious. Costwise-average city centre prices, but def worth it for the quality!!

I had an enjoyable meal at this restaurant and the pricing was reasonable. It also has a central location near the Plaza Mayor which makes it convenient after a day of site seeing.

Only okay, but well over-priced. 84 Euros for 3 pizzas and 1 pasta and a drink for 4 of us was dear. (see my review for Oven Gran Via where it's 70 Euros, much better in all respects). Decor is very tired and seating not comfortable.

Gorgeous food. Service was good too. They have a 12.90 daily menu which is full of nice options. About 4 or 5 in each course. I struggled to choose what i wanted because there were too many nice possibilities! And there is also an ´express´ menu - a main course and a drink for 9.90. The dishes with an *... More

Good Italian restaurant, the pasta we ate was very delicious, more delicious pasta we ate in Rome. We booked the table on Tripadvisor app and got a discount of 30%.

To be honest, I wasn't expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised. this was the best meal we had on our whole trip. We had my 2yr old daughter with us, and she lapped up every bit, from the break, fish pieces to the Lasagne. My wife ordered a pasta dish, as said it was one of the tastiest she's... More

Went here as it was well rated Ave choose to our hotel. Ordered the Grazie Mille pizza. Ingredients definitely were of good quality, but the pizza was undercooked and a bit soggy.

Thank Will K

Staying in Centro

Neighbourhood Profile
Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street performers, colorful lights, window shopping, restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a collection of plazas interconnected by a network of side streets. Some of these side streets are wide pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as desired. The iconic Puerta del Sol is the giant crossroads of the city and a must-see attraction at any time of the day. The nearby Plaza Mayor, completely enclosed by historic red buildings, is an ideal place to grab a bite to eat outside, amidst scores of tables and people out for a stroll. Plaza Isabel II (also known as “Opera”) is smaller and a good meeting spot, and the stately Plaza del Oriente is the front yard of the Royal Palace. Centro can be touristy (pickpockets are unfortuately not unheard-of here), crowded, and sometimes gimmicky, but it is also the place to experience classic Madrid.
