The food was ok, not great. My husband and I went there for dinner, and it's a charming place in a great location. Unfortunately the wait staff was coughing and sneezing all over the place, using his hands then touching the food plates. He really...More

We are still sit, and the waiter Quan has already catched our heart! He's nice and professional, friendly and confident, very sweet and he raccomands the plates honestly. We also love the ambient, which is very near to a home. You can eat the very...More

A shrine to Spanish Bull Fighting established in 1941. See if you can name all the famous Matadors or spot a portrait of Hemingway and the restaurant founder at a bullfight. Not exactly sure how we ended up here on the evening of Constitution Day...More

We so enjoyed our meal at Casa Salvador we returned for a second time. The food was delicious and comforting home coking. The price is reasonable. Don't miss the veal meatballs or the oxtail stew! The ambience is warm and welcoming in this multigenerational restaurant....More

Loved this dinner for some traditional service and fare! The ok tail stew is the house dish, but the Callos a la Madrileños was truly special.

Very unfriendly to Americans. The waiter was rude and unwelcoming. He served us begrudgingly. (1 bottle of water - 1 beer for the table). The adjacent table had the standard spectacular Spanish service, so they were very open about their disdain for us. We weren't...More

Thank you for taking your time writing your opinion. I have read your comment several times but I can't understand it at all. You wrote that you didn't receive the traditional Spanish service, I apologize for that but I still don't get what do you...More

I was expecting to eat paella considering a typical Spanish food but they don't cook it. Nevertheless, the waiter who served treated us incredibly well and you could have quite good and at a honest price some old Spanish meals.

Chueca is the hip, gay neighbourhood of Madrid where
many of the streets are narrow and intimate, but where
the hustle and bustle and the eclectic storefronts and
people give it a distinctly urban feel. The main
thoroughfare is Calle Hortaleza and the main square is
Plaza Chueca, completely filled with terraza tables
serving copas (mixed drinks) during summer. A mixture
of trendy and grungy, some of the adult businesses
