Ate here twice whilst staying at B&B 52 Fuencarral, Madrid. First time upstairs in restaurant & 2nd time in the bar downstairs. Downstairs in s self serve tapas cafeteria style pay in the number of cocktail sticks at the end on your plate. Most of Madrid's restaurants have poor service but this was very good.

The food was brilliant, with all sorts of new dishes which we had never tried before, alongside more well known food. We were in the restaurant section, upstairs, though I believe there is a tapas/bar area downstairs. The waitress advised us to share our food (though not tapas style), and we thoroughly enjoyed tasting each other's dishes. All of the... More

The whole concept at this place is fab. You grab and plate and help yourself to tapas of your choice. The waiters walk around now and again with freshly made tapas, you want one, you grab one. Then you pay for what you've eaten at the end .. great atmosphere and very friendly and helpful staff! A must visit in... More

I usually don't like Tapas, but this place is an exception. Lovely tapas, fantastic wine and cava, great service. Would definitely come again when in Madrid

We had a really nice lunch. Food was good. You can choose your tapas from the counter. Red wine was very tasty also. Nice relaxed place when you are visiting Madrid.

We enjoyed our lunch in this modern restaurant with an excellent selection of tapas, all priced at €2,10 a piece very much. The dishes looked very appetizing, and were very varied. The wine, too, was excellent and not too expensive. A place to come back too when in the area.

I have been here a few times, and the pinchos are excellent and varied. You can pick whatever you want at the bar just like in San Sebastian. Try the Txocoli white wine, and dine upstairs.

I went here for tapas with my girlfriend on 21/01/2017. We were treated really well by the extremely friendly and helpful barmen. The tapas are slightly more expensive than the average fare in Madrid, but in my opinion the price is more than justified by the quality and tastiness of the food. Stylish, relaxed, tapas bar which I would highly... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Hip bars and galleries, independent theaters and music venues, young people with tattoos and funky hair, narrow winding streets — this is Malasaña. Near the center, Plaza Dos de Mayo is a gathering of friends outside bars, dog owners, artists under craft tents, and creative types with notebooks and sketchpads on the plaza’s benches. It may not be as neat and tidy as many other parts of the city, but this only adds to the Malasaña edge. Shops and bars here range from hippie-crunchy to upscale trendy, and on weekends, the streets are bustling around the clock as the nightlife progresses from dinner to bar to disco to late-night food. On the west side of the neighbourhood is the subdistrict called Conde Duque, named after a large pink fort in its center that has been converted into a cultural center for exhibitions and performances. Prettier yet just as edgy, this intimate corner of Malasaña is home to a young international community.
