We commenced our visit in the bar of the hotel before heading down into the basement and to, what is, the tastefully decorated, comfortable, relaxed and unpretentious restaurant that is Santceloni. With its excellent service throughout from food to wine, this restaurant certainly has an air of class and seated at, what must be, the best seat in the house... More

The first of three 2 star Michelin restaurants we visited in Madrid, Santceloni is situated in the basement of the Hesperia Hotel. From the moment you enter the restaurant oozes class and expense accounts. As we were fairly tired from our journey we decided not to take the tasting menu (175 Euros) but opted for the wide ranging A La... More

We went to Santceloni at the recommendation of our gastronomic friend. He did not disappoint. As expected from a two Michelin star Resturaunt the food was wonderful. The pace was good. We didn't do the wine pairings as I was afraid it would be too much. The sommelier chose some wonderful wines for us by the glass to complement the... More

The ambience is lovely very well lit beautiful interior. Then there's the food, amazing flavours art on a plate. The waiting staff were beautifully turned out, George our head... More

Recommended by my hotel reception, I must say it was a very good fine dining experience that many Spanish restaurants are famous anyway. Excellent service by well dressed and kind waiters; the appetisers were delicious and different wines were served according to each dish. I will be happy to recommend this restaurant if you ever go to Madrid.

Impeccable service, beautifully timed which very few restaurants in Madrid have mastered. The food was sensational, with lots of amuse bouches, lovely surprises & an open kitchen, always a good sign! The cheese tables (yes 2!) had a wide selection of varied & different cheeses, the waiters were very knowledgable aiding our choice. Wonderful wine lists & a relaxed atmosphere... More

Went for the full on 160 euro tasting menu, plus 90 euros for the paired wines. Well worth it. Subtle, complex cooking, full of slightly understated fireworks, with polished service and some wonderful wines. We had it for lunch, which meant 3 hours or so of dedicated dining. You have to be in the mood for that sort of thing,... More

Being this a 2 Michelin Star restaurant, there's little I can say. Everything is just perfect! The wine and cheese selection, every course... Amazing. Their sommelier was very attentive and helpful. If you want to take a little bit of Santceloni with you, ask for their olive oil; a special blend made just for them... Spectacular!!

I visited Santceloni during my last visit to Madrid as I had seen its name on the Michelin guide. From the moment I walked in to the moment I left, I enjoyed every moment of it. The bread and olive oil were amazing. For appetizer, they told me they could give me two half appetizers as opposed to one appetizer.... More
