We reserved on a Saturday evening for a party of two. Used the fork over tripadvisor! We had a salad and the wagyu beef carpaccio. Very good. For the main dish shared a Angus T-Bone Steak, some potatoes and a side salad. The quality of the T-Bone was very good! At least - if you book over the fork you... More

Very nice atmosphere and great service. Their home made bread is very good and especially their Wagyu carpaccio is highly recommended.

We had read good reviews of this chain of steak restaurants and of this particular branch. Very slow service and waited over an hour for the starter plates to be cleared and for them to take our order for the mains. Very disappointed with our mains and the quality and cooking of the food was very poor. This was the... More

The meat is good, but any other side vegetables or just dishes without meat are really scarce. It seems that they keep any amount of meat deep frozen but fresh vegetables are a different issue. Also surprising is that they charge for bread, when most restaurants consider it as part of your dish, specially if it is meat.

Had a lovely meal here right beside the Plaza Isabel II, opposite the Teatro Real. We went early so not many people dining yet, maybe 4 other tables, but the service was excellent. Made sure to have steak from Argentina which was perfectly cooked fro medium, pink but not bloody. Plenty of steaks available too, not limited to Argentinian.

We were really disappointed with the quality of the food. I booked the restaurant as it showed a 40% discount if I booked on-line. When we arrived they didn't seem to know about our booking and really struggled to communicate as no-one spoke English. We managed to work through the language barrier but when we received the bill at the... More

Ordered a starter to share and two steaks with sides for mains and we had plenty to eat. The food we had was wonderful but the service we received was overpowering and verging on irritating! We were asked 6 times if we would like bread- by the same lady! We figured she must have been on commission... The wine was... More

Great steak restaurant at the opera square. A very nice choice when you want to try something but Spanish food. Modern interior and polite service. Recommend booking, as we experience that it filled up quickly after opening af 20:30.

Staying in Centro

Neighbourhood Profile
Centro
Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street performers, colorful lights, window shopping, restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a collection of plazas interconnected by a network of side streets. Some of these side streets are wide pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as desired. The iconic Puerta del Sol is the giant crossroads of the city and a must-see attraction at any time of the day. The nearby Plaza Mayor, completely enclosed by historic red buildings, is an ideal place to grab a bite to eat outside, amidst scores of tables and people out for a stroll. Plaza Isabel II (also known as “Opera”) is smaller and a good meeting spot, and the stately Plaza del Oriente is the front yard of the Royal Palace. Centro can be touristy (pickpockets are unfortuately not unheard-of here), crowded, and sometimes gimmicky, but it is also the place to experience classic Madrid.
