Service was brisk ,friendly and informative . Dishes appeared quickly and were generous . Amongst 4 we had the tasty complimentary appetiser, 3 entrees and 2 mains. This was a highly satisfying meal that would appease most appetites . Complimentary green tea to finish most welcome. I have no hesitation in recommending this lovely restaurant.

I was delighted to find this gem in the Eyewitness Top 10 guide as I was travelling with a friend who had struggled to find gluten free food in Madrid. We both enjoyed our lunches and it was such a relief for her to be able to order from the menu, confident that they understand what she needed.

After wondering around for months at common restaurants trying to pick out of the menu the guacamole, chips or the salad, (you a vegan, you know what I mean) getting to yerbabuena felt like finding a treasure of real food in Madrid. Every plate is delicious, you can feel the love in every bite. Great sauces that mix perfectly, and... More

I droped by this place on Monday. So I had the Monday menu. They have a different one for every day of the week and you can choose from two or three options. I had a stew of artichoques and cardoon as first dish and Tofu with veggies afterwards. The food was tasty and the service fine. They gave me... More

We were looking for a place to have good salads- we were missing greens on our trip- so we checked out Yerbabuena. First, I recommend making a reservation as it is generally busy there- we were lucky, though we were only 2. The menu was decent, but we were disappointed with the salad selection- only a few really. We picked... More

Lot of choice and good dishes. Very decent food. Interior is not cosy.. plain bright green walls :). Overall good experience. We had starters, lunch and wine and paid 20€ each.. visit this place if you're vegetarian or vegan!

Interesting diversity of dishes. Portions are large. Very busy so be prepared to wait as there was only one waiter. We would go again to try more items. Try the mousse desserts!

Such a great vegan resto in Madrid if you are looking for a more elaborated cuisine; but you can as well find simple choices. We asked for a Risotto and a filled crepe and both were really tasty, especially the mushrooms in it. The atmosphere was calm and the service with really good. We really enjoy our visit.

The food was nice but the portion sizes were enormous! Really had we known there would be so much food coming our way we would've halved our order. But one shouldn't complain too much at being served a hearty meal and this place exceeded expectations.

They have some tasty innovative veg items on menu. The portions they serve are big. Soups, starters were very delicious. We would certainly go back again.

Staying in Centro

Neighbourhood Profile
Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street performers, colorful lights, window shopping, restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a collection of plazas interconnected by a network of side streets. Some of these side streets are wide pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as desired. The iconic Puerta del Sol is the giant crossroads of the city and a must-see attraction at any time of the day. The nearby Plaza Mayor, completely enclosed by historic red buildings, is an ideal place to grab a bite to eat outside, amidst scores of tables and people out for a stroll. Plaza Isabel II (also known as “Opera”) is smaller and a good meeting spot, and the stately Plaza del Oriente is the front yard of the Royal Palace. Centro can be touristy (pickpockets are unfortuately not unheard-of here), crowded, and sometimes gimmicky, but it is also the place to experience classic Madrid.
