I don't know how many times I have gone to this restaurant but I will return many more for sure! I just love it! PROS: - Friendly, helpful, serving and English speaking staff. - They have a huge menu with all kind of "tapas", "pintxos" and also menu del día. Everything so good! My favorites are the risotto and the... More

We found the outdoor tables in a pleasant spot near the National Archeological Museum and ordered from the luncheon menu. The melon soup was lovely and refreshing. The dorado was also very tasty for those of us who don't mind bones. My wife had egg with a bit of truffle oil over potatoes and it was delicious. The tinto de... More

The staff is rude! Also, there is extra things on the bill. At the end we paid 22$ for 3 glasses of beer and 1 portion of croquettes.... And nothing special on the meal...

A nice review in Lonely Planet made us choose this tapas bar for lunch. The food was good, although not as creative as we expected. Combined with a bit stiff prices and very, very slow service, we went from there a bit disappointed and irritated. It might have been that we came on the wrong day with too few waiters... More

We booked two weeks in advanced for 10people, and we got there 10min late. The staff has been really rude, the food is nothing special (not bad either) and quite expensive. At midnight they remind us that because we got there late, the kitchen was closed and we could not order desert, kind of unbelievable in Spain. So many good... More

Not knowing Madrid I just asked at the Madrid office to recommend somewhere. They told me about this place. First visit I ordered what I thought was tapas size portions. Instead I got a large size portion of meatballs with noquis and a side of burger with foie u cebolla. It would have fed three. All for 15 euros. The... More

We went here as it was close to our hotel & was recommended in the Lonely Planet. The staff were very friendly, with one waiter having very good English. We shared the potato tapas- delicious! My other half then had the cod and I had the goats cheese salad. The cod was bland & the salad was swimming in oil.... More

We found it occasionally. Quite a democratic atmosphere, the tables like a bar tables with a high chairs. A very tasty hot tapas, nice cavas. It's a good stop when wondering the Serrano street.

it is a good restaurant and food seems very sophisticated. Mostly tapas or pintxos to share. The food is a bit pretentious though

Staying in Barrio de Salamanca

Neighbourhood Profile
Barrio de Salamanca
Broad, tree-lined avenues with pretty streetlights frame the neighbourhood of Barrio Salamanca. With beautiful condominium buildings that make up most blocks in this area, this part of town is refined and quiet. It is also host to a few of the city's large shopping avenues, including Calle Serrano and Calle Jose Ortega y Gasset. A walk down these streets will reveal upscale chains, small boutiques, and plenty of opportunities for shopping or checking out the stylish displays. The locals here are polished and fashionable, the atmosphere is leisurely, and the lush Retiro Park on the southern border is yet another opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. A stroll through Barrio Salamanca is all about admiring the beautiful architecture, window-shopping, and people-watching in this upper-crust corner of Madrid.
