We started with puntilla frita and then with a pulpo a la brasa. The sauce, the paprika sauce together with the potatoes and the octopus was like heaven! 🐙🌑🌈🌈Mums. So worthy not expensive at all. We had a cava while waiting in the "barra" so amazing to see how they cook paella a la brasa. Great to have the tips... More

A local friend told us to try Casa Carmela for an authentic paella. We were not disappointed. We started our lunch with perfectly-grilled, tender sepia served with fragrant olive oil. We followed with the Paella de Marisco (seafood paella) - fragrant, tender, deliciously seasoned al dente rice with a perfect 'socarrat' (the brown, crispy layer that forms on the bottom... More

When in Valencia you need to eat a paella right? So we ask for recommendations and were told to go to Casa Carmela. We arrived by Valencia's beach at 2:30pm and had to book for a 3:30pm table as they had shifts. We then waited another hour for the paella to be served. We enjoyed our Paela de Mariscos (seafood)....... More

A weekend away at the home of the paella wouldn't be complete without sampling the traditional Valencian paella (consisting of chicken, rabbit and snails). As you wander up the La Masa-Rosa from the city centre, you'll be spoilt for choice given the number of restaurants. However, keep walking to the top of the promenade and you will find Casa Camela... The differents choice of rice (paellas) are cooked on a wooden grill. The taste is amazing. The wood gives a special flavor.

After reading some glowing endorsements on this site, we decided to book a traditional Paella Valencia on our last day in Spain. As requested, we booked 24 hours in advance for this 'speciality', and reserved a table for 3pm. We arrived at 2.45 and were shown to a table in the courtyard at the back. The shabby furniture - plastic... More

Stands out among all the seaside restaurants along and near Valencia's beach. Had our new year's eve meal there, and they did accomodate us without any hassle even though we turned up without booking. Recommend the monkfish stew (nougat del rape). Everything, including the friendly service, was just spotless. Would happily go there again for fish and seafood.

It is a nice restaurant near the beach of "Malvarrosa" in Valencia, Spain, They cook the original Paella Valenciana, on wood-fire, served with a wooden spoon, as the tradition says. They have a good sort of local vegetable dishes, which make a simple salad taste wonderfully. Nice service with some very kind waters willing to show the kitchen to my... More
