I was fortunate enough to stumble upon this place last minute during las Fallas. Little did I know I would be fortunate enough to meet the owner and eat some of the best tapas and paella I could have asked for. The food was excellent, but what made the experience special is the owner guided us through the menu as... More

We visited El Pederniz during las Fallas in Valencia and so glad that we did. The food tasted fresh, the croquets and sizzling prawns were particularly wonderful. In terms of service the host could not have been more welcoming. He greeted us warmly, and suggested items from the menu that suited us after asking us our preferences. The place itself... More

I've been here twice and both times were phenomenal! Juan, the owner (?) is fantastic at explaining everything and could accommodate this primarily English speaking group (5 people). We ordered a couple of small paellas for the table, 4 raciones to share, 2 bottles of wine, and 2 desserts. All amazing, and the bill was less than 30 euro per... More

After the chaos and random culinary experiences of the Fallas, it was a true joy to discover this place. If you're a vegetarian or on a restricted diet it'd be worth phoning ahead as they can gladly prepare more options beforehand. The selection of veggie tapas we had on offer was small but each dish had its own merits: the... More

One of the best meals we've had in Spain. You can tell that the ingredients are fresh and prepared traditionally with care. Also by far the best service we've experienced our entire trip. All very friendly and obviously passionate about their food. Would highly recommend!

Created a tripadvisor account just to rate this place! Great food on reccomendation of the friendly host. Highly reccomend the garlic prawns, they come out sizzling on the table. Sangria was also delicious and reasonably priced. We will no doubt be going back before our trip is over!

The owner Luad ( hopefully I spelled that correctly ) was an excellent host. We had the squid, scallops, jamon, and a couple other items finishing off with a delicious chuleton. The recommended Valencian wine was good, especially the one blended with Merlot. I only wish that I lived closer so I could eat here again!

We decided to go out of the old town to El Pederniz based on a random search through TripAdvisor. We rode our bikes from the old city to there at 9 p.m. While it may not look like much on the outside, El Pederniz combines attention to the guests of the restaurant with fresh seafood and nice dishes. The owner... More
