Owner was amazing with us and made our honeymoon much more special. He sang to us and the specials of the day were phenomenonal... and the carpaccio is a must!

I arrived in Rome mid-afternoon and did as much walking around as possible after dropping my bags at the hotel. Only stopping for the odd snack. So by late evening, I was starving - which may have skewed my view of the food based on some of the other reviews here. We were seated quite near the back in an... More

After our flight from US and train ride to Rome it was no surprised to find us hungry and looking forward for our 1st meal in Italy. We walked around our hotel and the owner of the restaurant was outside inviting people in (not uncommon in Rome). They talk a good game but I beg you, run away from these... More

Misleading menu, average food, charged 2 EUR each person for handkerchief and 12% service fees added in the end.

Filling, but nothing special. Conveniently open late with tables in the back, so do not be fooled if it looks crowded through the window. Rather pricey for the food as they charge for everything – bread and cover charge. My pasta with porcini was well prepared, but the portion is not as generous as other restaurants. Service was good, but... More

Randomly walked into this place for lunch. The food was decent but we have had many better meals other places. This was probably our least favorite. Plus it was expensive in comparison to other restaurants

Just like the other reviewers, we were charged for bread...but this was the case at EVERY MEAL we had while in Rome. The prices here were great, about half the cost from around the corner. The staff was very helpful, friendly and social. I'm sure there was a service charge, as there was almost everywhere we ate on our trip.... More

Ate here on our first night after landing, hadn't a chance to read reviews so chanced the first nice looking place we found.. Agree with the other reviews, cheekily charged for bread and huge tax! The food was really lovely though so it's a pity they are greedy with the bill as it's affecting their reviews!

Our experience seem to have been somewhat different to other who have left a write up on this restaurant. We found the food to be excellent the service prompt and courteous the atmosphere what I would expect from a small Italian restaurant although yes there was a television on near the cash point but this was not a problem. The... More

The bill had €4 for bread and €6 for cover added to the bill for two people. The food was poor. This restaurant had no redeeming features! I saw other diners questioning and arguing over their bills! I will never go blindly into a restaurant again. Shame on them!!!!!!!!!

Staying in Colonna

Neighbourhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very centre of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping centre, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
