Our first visit was almost accidental. We had stopped to take a beverage. The restaurant was quite full , coming to the end of Sunday lunches. We mentioned we only wanted a drink, but the staff were very happy to seat us and were attentive...More

If you want eat where the locals eat this is the place. We ran across this place and are so glad we stop in. We had dinner here two different evenings and both times everything was perfect. Our waiter Billy went out of the way...More

This local, friendly, and reasonable place has been a great recommendation. Hearty meals and fabulous service from a friendly staff. The latter is difficult to find in Rome.

While on pilgrimage in Rome our group ate here twice - once for Pranzo and a few days later for Cena. Pranzo was outside and Cena was inside. Both experiences were very good. The food was plentiful and very good. At Pranzo the waiters were...More

We ate at Trattoria Polese two times and we liked everything: the pizza and lasagna were very good, the fish was very tasty and the desert ( semifreddo all’amaretto) was to die for. Highly recommended.

Returned to Polese for Pranzo right from the station for a meal with friends. A beautiful day to sit outside. I love their bucatini all'ammatriciana. Good house wine too. Great Service.

Ate here with a group so we shared a lot of appetizers and then ordered individual entrees. All of it was good but the fried artichokes were a treat. Nice atmosphere and enough off the main road to not be overwhelmed by traffic noise.

Great spot recommended by our hotel, in a charming little piazza. At night the lights are very romantic but it's great for lunch too. The food was amazing and the price was so reasonable. It was full of local young people and we had a...More

They wanted to sit us outside (on a coolish day) and after some discussion let us in the small dining room. Turned out we became the only tourists inside. Had better experiences elsewhere. Not a do over.

Navona / Pantheon / Campo de’ Fiori
With three of Rome’s most beloved piazzas within a
five-minute walk of each other, the
Navona/Pantheon/Campo area may be the prettiest and
most picturesque area of the city. Join the beautiful
throngs hanging out in cafes, boutiques, art
galleries, and wine bars, or peek at a neighbourhood
museum or monument. If you want nonstop movida, the
streets here are busy with chic bicyclists and Vespa
